Nollywood star Mary Njoku has publicly denounced the treatment of Comfort Emmanson, the female passenger who was forcibly removed from an Ibom Air flight after a distressing turn of events. Njoku’s stance emphasizes that, while airlines may have legitimate reasons to deboard passengers, the act of disrobing someone and broadcasting that footage online crosses a line of basic human decency and respect.
She continued, stressing her conviction that aviation and airport personnel are trained professionals, and insisting that no amount of wrongdoing justifies dehumanizing behavior, including exposing someone’s body and allowing it to be publicly disseminated. Njoku emphasized that a woman deserves her dignity, regardless of circumstances, and that this passenger should be compensated adequately for the harm inflicted upon her life and sense of self-worth.
