Over 2 million people gathered at Mgbidi for the 2025 Lord’s Chosen Revival Programme, themed “What God Has Determined Shall Be Done.” This spiritual event draws believers closer to God for healing, deliverance, and blessings while boosting the local economy.

The 2025 Annual International Revival Programme of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, also known as “The Chosen,” has attracted over two million participants to Mgbidi, Imo State.

This flagship event of the church, themed “What God Has Determined Shall Be Done,” kicked off on Thursday at the Chosen Revival Ground, Mgbidi, and will conclude with a thanksgiving service on Sunday.

The revival programme welcomes both church members and non-members from across Nigeria and beyond. The four-day spiritual gathering seeks to draw participants closer to God, offering salvation, healing, deliverance, and other blessings.

Economic Boom for Locals

The event has also provided a significant economic boost for transporters and food vendors in the area.

A commercial bus driver, Mr. Oguchukwu Ekenna, shared with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that he has been shuttling passengers between Oguta Junction and the revival venue since Thursday.

“What I earned in one day here is more than what I usually make in a week,” Ekenna said.

Similarly, a food vendor, Mrs. Blessing Igwe, reported brisk sales during the event, highlighting how the programme has been beneficial for small businesses.

Spiritual Goals of the Programme

Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, emphasized that the programme is centered on seeking God’s intervention in human affairs. He encouraged Nigerians to draw closer to God in order to access divine blessings.
