Liverpool have officially secured the Premier League title for the 2024/2025 season, reaching a historic milestone on Sunday.
By defeating Tottenham Hotspur with an impressive 5-1 scoreline at Anfield, the Reds not only lifted the trophy but also matched Manchester United’s record of 20 top-flight league titles.
Heading into the match, Liverpool required just a single point to confirm their championship status. However, Jürgen Klopp’s side showcased dominance, earning all three points in spectacular fashion.
Luis Díaz opened the scoring, followed by goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, sealing a memorable victory for the home crowd. Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke managed to pull one back for the visitors, but it was not enough to challenge Liverpool’s superiority.
After 34 matches played, Liverpool sit comfortably atop the table with 82 points, and still have four more games left to wrap up the campaign. Their latest achievement further cements their legacy as one of English football’s greatest clubs.
