Fresh insights have surfaced regarding Lamine Yamal’s new long-term deal with FC Barcelona, shedding light on the immense value the club places on the young talent.
As per a report from SPORT, the 17-year-old winger has penned a contract that runs through to 2031, placing him among the highest earners in the LaLiga squad. The agreement reportedly ensures Yamal a weekly wage of £325,000, making him one of the top-paid players at the Catalan club.
The Spanish international is set to take home a base salary of €15 million per year, with performance-related bonuses capable of boosting that figure to as much as €20 million annually. These terms reflect Barcelona’s confidence in his ability to contribute significantly to their domestic and European ambitions.
Moreover, Yamal’s deal features an astonishing €1 billion release clause, a clear indication of Barcelona’s intent to fend off interest from top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, who have previously expressed admiration for the winger.
In the 2023/24 season, Yamal was instrumental in Barcelona’s LaLiga and Copa del Rey victories under manager Hansi Flick. The teenager netted 18 goals and provided 25 assists across all competitions, further cementing his status as one of football’s most exciting young prospects.
