Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to leave his role soon, has spoken candidly about Rodrygo Goes’ fitness challenges within the club.
According to Ancelotti, the Brazilian forward is experiencing discomfort in his leg, which has noticeably affected his mood. The manager added that the 24-year-old attacker also suffered from a fever recently, preventing him from joining team training sessions.
During his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga encounter against Mallorca, Ancelotti addressed the situation in more detail:
“Rodrygo has a bit of leg discomfort. He’s feeling down because of it, but there’s not much else to it,” Ancelotti explained, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
The coach went on to say, “He was dealing with a fever and couldn’t train properly last week. Since he wasn’t feeling well, we opted to monitor his condition carefully.”
Ancelotti concluded with a personal note: “Rodrygo is cherished by everyone, including myself.”
Rodrygo transferred to Real Madrid from Brazilian side Santos FC in 2019 and has since become a key player for the club.
