The Labour Party’s National Executive Council (NEC) has officially appointed Senator Nenadi Usman as the Acting National Chairperson of the party. Alongside her, Senator Darlington Nwokocha was chosen as the Acting National Secretary. This leadership selection is part of the party’s formation of a new interim working committee.
Additionally, the council meeting yielded further resolutions vital for strengthening the party’s democratic processes. A detailed schedule was ratified for conducting a comprehensive series of congresses at various administrative levels. This includes ward congresses, local government area congresses, state congresses, zonal congresses, and ultimately, the National Convention.
