Senator Kwankwaso celebrates Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s 62nd birthday, commending his empathetic and transformative leadership in Kano State.
Former Kano State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has praised the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, highlighting his exceptional contributions to Kano State’s development.
In a statement released on Friday to celebrate Governor Yusuf’s 62nd birthday, Kwankwaso described him as a dynamic leader who has made significant strides in less than 19 months in office.
“The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has proven himself as a visionary leader,” Kwankwaso remarked. “From his early days as my aide to his role as commissioner and now as the Chief Executive Officer of our beloved state, his track record speaks volumes.”
Kwankwaso emphasized the governor’s empathy and commitment to improving the lives of Kano residents, commending his people-centered approach and impactful initiatives across various sectors.
“I am especially impressed with his dedication to listening to the needs of the people and making decisions that enhance the quality of life for Kanawa (the people of Kano),” he added.
Governor Yusuf, born on January 5, 1963, in Gaya Local Government Area, belongs to the Sullubawa Fulani clan, part of the Kano Emirate’s ruling class. His rise to prominence includes serving as an aide and commissioner in Kwankwaso’s administration before assuming office as governor in May 2023.
Kwankwaso expressed heartfelt appreciation for Governor Yusuf’s efforts and prayed for his continued success. “In his 62 years, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has left an indelible mark on Kano State. He embodies loyalty, compassion, and visionary leadership. May Allah grant him more strength, wisdom, and grace to keep serving his people.”
