Renowned Fuji legend, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely celebrated as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, has formally revealed his desire to become the next Awujale of Ijebuland, one of the most respected traditional positions in Nigeria.

The iconic musician expressed his intention to contest for the revered throne in a written declaration forwarded to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. His statement reaffirmed his readiness to step into an ancestral role deeply rooted in tradition and cultural leadership.

According to the letter, Kwam1 emphasized that his aspiration is fully supported by the established provisions of the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws as well as the long-standing customs governing the Ijebu people.
