Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, the respected legislator representing the Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC). His comeback to the ruling party has attracted significant attention within the political landscape, especially as he rejoined together with Rt. Hon. Sagir Koki, the representative of Kano Municipal and its neighboring districts.
The announcement was made public through a statement shared on Jibrin’s official Facebook page on Thursday. In his post, he expressed his enthusiasm about reuniting with the APC family, reaffirming his commitment to contributing to national development through the platform. According to him:
Their return to the APC marks a significant political realignment within Kano State, which has remained one of Nigeria’s most active political battlegrounds. Both lawmakers have previously played strategic roles in shaping political discussions within the National Assembly. Their re-entry into the party is expected to strengthen grassroots mobilization, legislative synergy, and political stability across their constituencies.
The warm reception at the National Assembly highlights the lawmakers’ longstanding relationships with party members and colleagues. Their rejoining symbolizes a renewed collaboration and a reinforced sense of unity within the APC caucus.
As the political environment continues to evolve, their return may contribute to shaping upcoming legislative agendas, party strategies, and wider political engagements across Northern Nigeria.
