The Katsina State House of Assembly has formally appealed to the state government to place a ban on graduation ceremonies in schools. This move, according to lawmakers, is driven by growing concerns over security threats and the potential encouragement of social vices among young people.

Lawmakers stressed that this step would not only safeguard students from exposure to negative influences but also restore a sense of discipline within the education system.
