The Women Lawyers Congress has urged Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to address and clarify alleged derogatory remarks made by his Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam. In a statement released on Tuesday, Barrister Nafisa Abba Ismail, Chairlady of the Women Lawyers Congress, condemned the Deputy Governor’s remarks, calling them part of a worrying trend of disrespecting respected figures.

“Such conduct is unbecoming of a leader. Leadership requires ethical standards and respect for all, especially women in governance,” she stated.
