Police Operatives Rescue 23 Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna

In a major breakthrough against criminal activities, the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the military, has successfully rescued 23 kidnapped victims during an intelligence-led operation.

Security Forces Raid Bandits’ Hideout in Kajuru

According to DSP Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson of the Kaduna Police Command, the rescue mission took place on February 2, 2025, following actionable intelligence about the movement of armed bandits in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA).

Led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru Division, security forces advanced into the bush near Doka Village, where they encountered heavily armed bandits attempting to move their captives deeper into Kajuru Forest.

Bandits Overpowered as Security Forces Take Control

A fierce gun battle ensued, with security operatives inflicting heavy casualties on the criminals, forcing them to flee into the forest with gunshot wounds. This decisive action resulted in the successful rescue of 23 victims, who had earlier been abducted in Kauru LGA.

All rescued individuals have since been reunited with their families, bringing relief to the affected communities.

Increased Security Measures in Kaduna State

To prevent future attacks, security forces have intensified patrols and surveillance across Kajuru and surrounding areas.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad (psc), reaffirmed the Kaduna Police Command’s commitment to public safety, stating that collaboration with the military and other security agencies remains a top priority in the fight against crime.

He further assured residents that the police will continue aligning with the security strategies of Governor Sen. Uba Sani, ensuring peace and stability across Kaduna State.
