Fenerbahce’s current manager, Jose Mourinho, has explained that he could have clinched the Champions League title with Chelsea if VAR (Video Assistant Referee) had been implemented during his time at the club.
In an interview with Canal 11, the 62-year-old tactician pointed to a specific encounter — Chelsea’s 2005 semi-final match against Liverpool — as a defining moment.
Throughout his decorated career, Mourinho has lifted the Champions League trophy twice — once with FC Porto in 2004, and again with Inter Milan in 2010.
However, his journey to Champions League glory fell short during his time at Real Madrid and Manchester United, in addition to his near-miss with Chelsea.
