The police report states that Wada admitted his student had died while being punished for absenteeism from school. On March 12, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM, residents of Jikas-Dabaja village in Gwaram Local Government Area discovered the decomposing remains of a headless body along the roadside. The police investigation later confirmed that the corpse belonged to Bashir Adamu, a student under Wada’s care.

Following the arrest, detectives transferred Wada to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Dutse for further questioning. Authorities have assured the public that upon the completion of the investigation, the suspect will be arraigned in court and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
