Nigerian Rapper Jeriq Reveals Why He Remains Single at 25
Popular Nigerian rapper, Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, widely recognized by his stage name Jeriq, has disclosed the reason behind his decision to remain single at 25. The Secure The Bag crooner stated that he has never been in a romantic relationship due to his doubts about the possibility of genuine love and loyalty in modern relationships.
During an interview with Glich Africa, Jeriq expressed skepticism about the idea of romantic love between a man and a woman. He explained that while he loves his family and friends, he struggles to believe that a woman can be entirely faithful to him.
“Since I was born, I have never been in a relationship. There’s love for family and friends, but when it comes to romantic relationships, I don’t think it is real. I don’t believe a girl can love and remain completely loyal to just me,” Jeriq stated.
The rapper, however, mentioned that his perception could change if he ever meets a woman who proves to be genuinely faithful. He added that despite his current doubts, he remains open to the idea of love in the future.
“If I ever find someone who is truly honest and loyal, I will give love a chance and reciprocate the feelings. But for now, I don’t think it’s possible, so I don’t believe in love. I’m still young, so let’s see how things unfold,” he concluded.
