Renowned Nigerian music star Davido has opened up about the emotional resemblance between his newborn twin son and his late child, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

In a heartfelt conversation on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, Davido described the likeness between his twin son and the late Ifeanyi as “eerie.” He admitted that the physical similarity between the two children is so profound that it feels almost supernatural.

“The boy looks exactly like my late son. It’s so scary,” Davido expressed during the interview. “It’s literally him. We keep saying, ‘No, it’s him. He came back.’”

LMSINT MEDIA previously reported that Ifeanyi Adeleke, Davido’s first son with wife Chioma Rowland, tragically passed away on October 31, 2022, after drowning in a pool at the singer’s residence in Lagos State. The heartbreaking incident occurred just weeks after his third birthday, leaving fans and well-wishers in shock and sorrow.

In what many have seen as a divine blessing after tragedy, the couple welcomed twins — a boy and a girl — in October 2023 in the United States.

Reflecting on the painful loss of Ifeanyi and the miracle of welcoming twins, Davido shared:

“That kind of loss made me want to disappear. I just wanted to take time off, focus on Chioma and the family, and heal.”

He added that receiving twins after enduring such grief was a sign of divine intervention:

“To come back from that kind of pain and then be blessed with twins… that’s proof that God is real.”
