The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have notified the public that Iran’s retaliatory attack against Israel has commenced.
According to IDF reports, Iran has dispatched over 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward Israeli airspace as part of its reprisal.
“All aerial defense systems are fully engaged in intercepting the incoming threats,” stated IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin.
He added, “This is unlike anything we’ve experienced before, and we are preparing for extremely challenging hours ahead.”
Background: Israel Launches Operation Rising Lion
As reported by LMSINT MEDIA, Israel previously initiated multiple coordinated airstrikes on Iranian targets, resulting in heightened regional tensions and the declaration of a state of emergency in Israel in anticipation of Iran’s response.
The Israeli military described the strikes as a pre-emptive, precise, and collaborative operation based on top-level intelligence, naming it Operation Rising Lion.
Tragically, one of Iran’s top military officials, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, who served as Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, was reportedly killed during the Israeli strikes.
