Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has declared that she is fully prepared to present evidence supporting her sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
According to Senator Natasha, Akpabio’s decision to sue her has opened a long-awaited window for transparent legal scrutiny. She explained that the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges previously prevented her from defending or proving her allegations within the legislative framework.
Now, she believes the matter has finally reached a neutral and competent court, where every detail can be examined without interference.
The unfolding legal battle is expected to attract significant national attention, as it involves top government figures and matters related to public conduct. Many political observers believe that the case may set a precedent for how harassment allegations within Nigerian political institutions are handled in the future.
For Nigerians following the matter, the court proceedings may offer an opportunity to see both sides present their evidence and arguments in a fully transparent environment.
