Nigerian veteran actor Ibrahim Chatta has openly expressed his disinterest in winning the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), following his recent snub at the prestigious event.

According to LMSINT MEDIA, Ibrahim Chatta was nominated in the category of Best Lead Actor for his performance in the acclaimed film House of GAA. However, the award ultimately went to Femi Adebayo, who starred in Seven Doors.

Speaking candidly during his recent feature on the podcast series Curiosity Made Me Ask, which aired on Sunday, Chatta addressed the outcome of the awards ceremony. Despite the anticipation around his nomination, he made it clear that he has no desire to win the AMVCA.

When the show host, Isbae U, posed the question: “Would you say you are underappreciated in your profession? When you get home, do you also pray to win the AMVCA?” — Chatta responded firmly and succinctly: “I’m not interested.”

The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards took place on Saturday night in Lagos State, drawing significant attention across the entertainment industry.
