Ibom Air: Singer Simi Demands Prosecution of Airport Staff Over Viral Indecent Video of Passenger Comfort Emmanson

Nigerian award-winning singer and songwriter, Simi, has called for strict sanctions and legal action against the airport personnel responsible for releasing an unedited and indecent video of Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson.

The controversial incident, which occurred aboard Ibom Air Flight Q153, has stirred intense debate across social media platforms. According to reports, Comfort Emmanson was forcefully removed from the aircraft following a heated altercation with the flight crew and ground staff. The conflict reportedly began when she refused to turn off her mobile phone during takeoff preparations.

As tensions escalated, Emmanson was physically escorted off the plane. During this process, a video capturing her partial nudity was recorded and later posted online without any effort to blur or censor the explicit content. Simi Questions Selective Justice

Reacting to the incident through her Instagram Story, Simi expressed strong disapproval of what she described as selective justice. She argued that while Emmanson’s behavior was being condemned and penalized, those responsible for filming and uploading the indecent clip were escaping accountability.

The singer stressed that sharing such a video without blurring the exposed body parts was a gross invasion of privacy and equally deserving of punishment.

“Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, captured her in that exposed state, and then uploaded it without editing or blurring the sensitive parts. I personally want to know who posted that video and why no one is holding them accountable. They should face the full weight of the law,” Simi declared.

She further criticized the hypocrisy of condemning one form of misconduct while overlooking another.

“Voluntarily posting her half-naked for millions to see, when fewer than 10 people originally witnessed it, warrants consequences. You cannot condemn one madness and leave another one unchecked,” she added.
