In 2016, Mayorkun, whose birth name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, uploaded a cover of Davido’s hit single “The Money” on Twitter. Impressed by his talent, Davido reached out and signed him to his record label, DMW (Davido Music Worldwide).
