In 2016, Mayorkun, whose birth name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, uploaded a cover of Davido’s hit single “The Money” on Twitter. Impressed by his talent, Davido reached out and signed him to his record label, DMW (Davido Music Worldwide). Shortly after, Mayorkun dropped his debut single “Eleko,” which became an instant sensation, cementing his position as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.
