Three individuals who are members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry have been abducted by armed men suspected to be kidnappers in Ondo State.
The unfortunate incident occurred while the victims were heading home after attending a Bible study session at the Kasemola area in Ogbese, situated within Akure North Local Government Area.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the kidnappers had strategically laid in wait for the church members before ambushing them and dragging them into the nearby forest.
A member of the church, who chose to remain anonymous, confirmed the incident through a message that read: “Good morning, beloved. Kindly pray along with us. Three of our members were kidnapped yesterday (Monday) after bible study at Kasemola inside the Ogbese axis.”
The local church community has since launched prayer efforts, seeking divine intervention for the safe return of the abducted individuals. Law enforcement agencies and the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State have been officially notified about the incident.
An inside source revealed that the kidnappers have already established contact, demanding a ransom of ₦5 million for the release of the victims.
Speaking on the matter, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that security operatives have been dispatched to the affected area. He confirmed that a search operation is actively ongoing in the surrounding forests and bush paths, with the aim of locating and rescuing the abducted church members
