Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has officially named Mrs. Elsie Peters as the newly appointed Head of Service, marking a significant administrative transition at the top level of the state’s civil service structure. She steps into the position previously occupied by Mr. Effiong Essien, who has formally concluded his service years and proceeded on retirement.
Mrs. Peters’ appointment reflects Governor Umo Eno’s continuing effort to strengthen governance by positioning capable professionals in critical roles. Her decades of public service experience, leadership record, and understanding of civil service operations are expected to support the administration’s reform agenda and enhance government performance across ministries.
