Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, has granted young forward Liam Delap his first-ever start, following his impressive performance off the bench during their Club World Cup debut.
Delap, who contributed an assist for Enzo Fernandez in their opening match against Los Angeles FC, now earns a place in the starting lineup.
In preparation for Friday’s showdown against Flamengo, Maresca has made a total of four changes to his previous starting eleven.
Meanwhile, several top players for Flamengo will begin the match on the bench. These include striker Pedro and experienced defenders Guillermo Varela and Alex Sandro.
