FCT Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects In Connection To Fatal Kurudu Attack

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully apprehended two alleged armed robbers reportedly responsible for a series of violent attacks in the Kurudu area and its surroundings.

The suspects, identified as Hassan Adamu and Auwal Mohammed, both aged 25, were captured on May 8 around 2:00 p.m. by operatives of the Scorpion Squad during a meticulously coordinated raid.

According to authoritative police sources, the duo has been linked to numerous armed robbery cases, raising concerns about the safety of residents in Kurudu.

One of the arrested individuals made a confession relating to a disturbing robbery incident at Angwan Hausawa in Kurudu. In the course of the attack, a male victim, identified as Mohammed, was stabbed and later succumbed to the wounds inflicted during the assault.

The operation was based on actionable intelligence, leading law enforcement officers to a hideout in Kurudu, where the suspects were ultimately detained. During the search, officers recovered a sharp dagger, which was allegedly meant to be used to resist arrest or inflict harm on police personnel.

Additionally, the suspects disclosed the names of other gang members who remain at large. Authorities believe the fugitives are still armed and pose a threat to public safety.

The FCT Police Command has since intensified its efforts, launching a manhunt to capture the remaining members of the gang and retrieve more dangerous weapons that may still be in circulation.
