President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has once again justified his numerous foreign visits, emphasizing that each international handshake and diplomatic engagement is aimed at securing a brighter future for Nigeria’s prosperity.
Speaking after returning from a recent 10-day bilateral engagement that took him to Japan, Brazil, and a brief stop in Los Angeles, United States, the President explained that these trips are not for leisure but are strategic moves designed to unlock opportunities that will create jobs and boost economic growth.
“Every handshake, every agreement, and every meeting is guided by one goal: to secure opportunities that translate into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians,” the President declared.
Strengthening Ties with Japan
During his visit to Japan, President Tinubu highlighted that discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations in industry, technology, and human capital development. He pointed out that Nigeria’s growing partnership with Japan would encourage major investors to channel resources into sectors that can diversify the economy and reduce over-dependence on oil revenue.
According to Tinubu, Japan’s technological expertise and commitment to innovation provide a pathway for Nigeria to harness skills, expand manufacturing, and empower young people through advanced education and vocational training.
Unlocking Opportunities in Brazil
Tinubu also emphasized that the discussions in Brazil reflect his government’s larger reform agenda, which prioritizes food security, modern transportation networks, and robust economic stability.
A New Nigeria Built on Reforms
The President concluded by assuring Nigerians that his administration is not pursuing rhetoric but implementing sustainable policies and international partnerships that will outlive his tenure.
“This is the new Nigeria we are building together, a Nigeria built on sustainable reforms that will outlast us rather than one built on rhetoric,” Tinubu stated.
His message underscores the government’s determination to use global diplomacy as a tool for advancing national development, strengthening confidence in Nigeria’s economy, and opening doors for future generations.
