Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot believes that legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo would be highly impressed with the remarkable improvements currently taking place at Old Trafford.
Dalot, who plays alongside Ronaldo for the Portugal national team, said that the current upgrades — particularly the brand-new, state-of-the-art first-team facility at the club’s Carrington training complex — are something his former teammate would greatly admire.
According to Dalot, Manchester United’s new co-owners, spearheaded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group, have initiated a wave of significant changes aimed at restoring the club’s prestige. These enhancements come as part of a major investment drive, with an estimated £236 million poured into the club during the 2024–25 season.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Dalot remarked:
“I’m sure he [Cristiano Ronaldo] would love it if he could see it.”
The newly upgraded facilities are intended to give players world-class training conditions and to signal Manchester United’s determination to compete at the highest level of football once again. With improved infrastructure, better training resources, and modern equipment, the club hopes to attract elite talent and inspire current squad members ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
