Peace Talks Underway Between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee Tee Amid Royalty Dispute

The ongoing legal conflict between award-winning gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her former record label, EeZee Conceptz, appears to be approaching a possible resolution. Nancy Nnadi, widely known as Coach Nancy and the current Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, has confirmed that reconciliation talks are in progress between the two parties.

Coach Nancy made this revelation while officially withdrawing a previously issued defamatory statement she had made against Chinwo in the heat of the legal battle.

As previously reported by LMSINT MEDIA, Mercy Chinwo had filed a lawsuit against her former music executive, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, commonly referred to as EeZee Tee, in January 2025. The lawsuit alleged that EeZee Tee diverted over $345,000 in music royalties, an accusation that stirred significant reactions across Nigeria’s gospel music industry and among fans globally.

This legal issue came approximately two years after Chinwo severed ties with EeZee Conceptz over unresolved financial disagreements, prompting the singer to pursue legal redress.

In the midst of the dispute, Nancy Nnadi, representing the interests of the record label, accused Mercy Chinwo of financial impropriety—an allegation that led the gospel singer to respond by filing a defamation suit. Chinwo, through her legal representatives, demanded not only a public apology but also the immediate removal of the false accusations from all associated social media platforms.

In a new development that indicates a softening of tensions, Nancy Nnadi took to her Instagram page over the weekend to officially retract her statements. In her message, she emphasized that the ongoing peace resolution efforts are being led by well-respected religious leaders, referred to as the Fathers of Faith, and urged for God’s continued intervention in the process.

“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo,” she wrote.
“We also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”

Coach Nancy’s public apology and emphasis on peace reflect a significant shift in the trajectory of the matter and raises hopes of a possible out-of-court settlement. The gospel music community is watching closely, as this case continues to unfold.
