Edozie Njoku Appointed New National Chairman Of NRM

ABUJA – Chief Edozie Njoku, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been named the new National Chairman of the National Rescue Movement (NRM).

Njoku assumed the leadership role at an emergency national convention held in Abuja on Friday. The convention was overseen by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

His appointment follows the decision of the former National Chairman of NRM, Hon. (Ambassador) Isaac Udeh, to step down. Udeh’s resignation was driven by the need to reposition the party and ensure its national spread and inclusivity within the executive committee. Udeh acknowledged Njoku’s experience and vision as the key factors in his decision.

In his resignation, Udeh emphasized the need to revitalize the NRM, and he will now serve as the party’s National Organizing Secretary.

During the same convention, A. D. Musa was appointed as Deputy National Chairman (North), while Hon. Freedom Okwuchukwu was named Deputy National Chairman (South).

Upon his appointment, Njoku expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Udeh for his dedication and sacrifice. He assured party members of his commitment to revitalize the NRM and prepare it for upcoming elections, starting with the Anambra State governorship election. Njoku confidently stated that the NRM would emerge victorious in the Anambra election.
