This acknowledgment was delivered by Amadin Desmond Enabulele, Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, during a surprise visit to the team’s training ground in Benin City.

Encouragement Towards a Continental Target

During his visit, Enabulele motivated the players, urging them to set their sights on a continental tournament spot, especially considering the team’s solid form in recent matches.

“Let me, on behalf of the state government and the Sports Commission, applaud your dedication so far,” said Enabulele. “We were once in a crisis, but now, thanks to your efforts and the Governor’s timely support, we’re seeing real promise.”

Current Form and League Standing

According to LMSINT MEDIA Sports, Bendel Insurance has only suffered two losses in their last 11 matches, which currently places them fifth on the NPFL table. With this form, hopes for finishing in the top three positions and securing a continental football spot are well within reach.

“We must fight for a place among the best,” Enabulele emphasized. “Now that we are no longer in the Federation Cup, all energy must go into clinching a continental qualification. The second and third spots are realistic goals.”
