Renowned Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, who is better known to the public as 2Face, has expressed that he does not feel obligated to provide any explanation to the general public regarding the issues surrounding his separation from his spouse, popular actress Annie Macaulay. Despite the ongoing discussions and speculations, the legendary singer insists that his duty of explanation lies solely with his children.

It is worth noting that LMSINT MEDIA previously reported that 2Face made his separation from Annie public through an Instagram post on Sunday, January 26, 2025. This announcement triggered widespread reactions and significant media attention, fueling various speculations and discussions across social media platforms.

The situation intensified even further when 2Face began openly displaying his new relationship with Natasha Osawuru, who is a distinguished member of the Edo State House of Assembly. His public affection for Natasha added more fuel to the ongoing controversy, as fans and critics voiced their opinions across numerous platforms.

In a candid discussion during an interview session on the 234 Mzansi Podcast, the respected artist took the opportunity to address these issues. He clarified that the only individuals entitled to hear his side of the story are his children.

In his words, “My kids are the only people I owe an explanation.”

2Face went on to explain that his marriage to Annie had unfortunately reached a point where it could no longer be sustained. According to him, both parties gave their best effort to salvage the union, but their attempts ultimately fell short.

He described Annie as “an amazing person” and emphasized that they had shared beautiful moments together during their time as a couple. Despite their efforts and the many years they spent trying to make things work, the decision to part ways became inevitable because, in his view, the marriage simply “wasn’t working anymore.”

2Face and Annie Macaulay entered into matrimony in May 2012, a union that produced two lovely daughters — Isabella and Olivia. The singer reaffirmed that his primary focus remains on ensuring that his children understand the situation, as their emotional well-being is his utmost concern.
