Cyriel Dessers has expressed his joy after hitting a major milestone of 50 goals for Rangers Football Club in the Scottish Premiership.
On Wednesday evening, the Nigerian striker netted twice in Rangers’ impressive 3-1 comeback victory over Dundee United at Ibrox Stadium.
Dessers opened the scoring with a brilliant header in the 25th minute, setting the pace for the match.
Later in the second half, the forward converted a penalty 17 minutes before full-time, sealing his second goal of the night.
In total, the Super Eagles star has scored 28 goals in all competitions for the Light Blues during this campaign.
“It’s very satisfying,” said the 30-year-old in an interview with the club’s official website. “Like I’ve mentioned before, it’s been a season of highs and lows—more than anyone would have liked—but ending on a high note at Ibrox feels great. It doesn’t compensate for everything this season, but it’s a good way to finish.
