Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, has opened up about his thoughts on facing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) ahead of the highly anticipated FIFA Club World Cup final. According to him, his concern about the French giants is no different from his general concerns about any opponent.
It should be noted that Chelsea earned their place in the FIFA Club World Cup final after overcoming Brazilian side Fluminense with a 2-0 victory in the semi-final. On the other hand, PSG secured their spot in the final showdown after defeating Spanish giants Real Madrid.
“What concerns me about Paris Saint-Germain is essentially what concerns me about every other team,” Maresca shared, as quoted on Chelsea FC’s official website.
“I have respect for all teams, but my approach to preparing for the final on Sunday is exactly the same as the way I prepared for our match against the Brazilian clubs.”
Maresca’s comments reflect a strategic consistency and calm focus, suggesting that despite the high stakes of the final, his preparation philosophy remains grounded in discipline and tactical analysis.
