China Criticizes Trump’s Gaza Threat, Defends Palestinian Sovereignty
China has strongly condemned former U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks suggesting the removal of Gaza’s residents, emphasizing that the region is not under U.S. control.
At a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun denounced Trump’s statement, stressing that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and should not be treated as a political pawn.
“Gaza is an inalienable part of Palestine, not a bargaining chip for political maneuvering,” Jiakun declared.
He further emphasized that Gaza, already devastated by conflict, should not become a battleground for political dominance. Instead, he urged global powers to provide humanitarian aid and assist in the region’s reconstruction.
China reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Palestinian self-governance and strongly opposed any forced displacement of Gaza’s residents. Jiakun reiterated that the international community must uphold the “two-state solution,” ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
China Advocates for a Lasting Solution
China expressed its readiness to collaborate with global partners to achieve a just resolution to the Palestinian crisis. The spokesperson highlighted China’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and called for greater international intervention to prevent further suffering in Gaza.
