Chidimma Adetshina recently achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the position of first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe Competition, which was held in Mexico. The organizers announced her achievement on Instagram Sunday morning.
In response to this success, Obi commended Adetshina for overcoming the obstacles she faced and making her mark on the global stage through dedication and hard work.
“I closely followed the journey of our Nigerian beauty queen, Chidimma Adetshina, as she rose to stardom. Her path is a true testament to resilience, perseverance, and unwavering commitment,” Obi said.
“Despite the struggles and challenging moments, she remained focused on her faith, hope, and determination to reach the top. And today, she stands victorious.”
Obi acknowledged that while Adetshina did not win the Miss Universe crown, finishing as first runner-up out of over 120 contestants from around the world, and securing the top position in Africa, is an incredible achievement that fills the nation with pride.
He added, “I sincerely congratulate her for believing in herself and our nation. And to everyone who contributed to her success, your hard work has truly paid off.”
Further praising her, Obi described Adetshina as a beacon of hope and an example that despite the challenges, a brighter future for Nigeria is possible.
“In these difficult times, she stands as a symbol of hope, especially for our youth who are facing various challenges in their pursuit of greatness. The message is clear: Never give up, no matter how tough the journey may be. Success is within reach.”
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to supporting Nigerian youth, saying, “As I’ve always stated, we are dedicated to building a better Nigeria for our talented youth, regardless of the obstacles. Without a doubt – The New Nigeria is POssible.”
