Burna Boy Considers Parenthood as Age Sets In

Nigerian Grammy Award-winning superstar Damini Ogulu, who is famously known by his stage name Burna Boy, has openly expressed his growing interest in having children, acknowledging that age is gradually catching up with him.

The acclaimed singer, who celebrated his 34th birthday in grand style on Wednesday night in Lagos, shared these thoughts while interacting with friends and associates at the event. According to Burna Boy, he believes the time is right to start building a family and having kids of his own.

He revealed that his change of mindset was influenced by a conversation he recently had with Nigerian oil magnate, Jowizaza, which triggered deep reflections about his life choices and future.

In Burna Boy’s own words, delivered in popular Nigerian Pidgin English:

“Na so Jowizaza follow me talk the last time, I come dey think about my life. Omo, I don dey old oh, I for begin born pikins.”

(Translation: “Jowizaza had this conversation with me the last time, and it made me reflect on my life. I’m getting old, I should start having kids.”)

It is worth noting that LMSINT MEDIA reported in May of the previous year that Burna Boy had maintained he was not yet ready to have children at that time. He explained back then that he felt he would be unable to give them the proper attention and care they deserved due to his demanding lifestyle and musical commitments.

Furthermore, the chart-topping ‘Tatata’ hitmaker made it clear in that earlier interview that he would only consider becoming a father once he was settled in life or had entered into marriage, emphasizing the importance of stability before raising children.

His most recent statements now suggest that Burna Boy might be reconsidering those priorities, driven by a sense of maturity and a desire to build a family as he advances in age.
