Buhari’s Daughter Hanan Expresses Gratitude to Nigerians for Forgiving Her Father

Hanan Buhari, the daughter of the late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has publicly expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for extending forgiveness to her father after his passing.

According to LMSINT MEDIA, the ex-Nigerian leader, Muhammadu Buhari, passed away on Sunday, July 13, at a private medical facility in London, following a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness. Reports revealed that Buhari had been grappling with a mysterious health condition for years. Although he was recently discharged from the intensive care unit, his health deteriorated rapidly shortly after.

As previously reported, his funeral rites were swiftly conducted at his residence in Daura, located in Katsina State, on Tuesday, in accordance with Islamic traditions.

“What I will miss most about him is his sense of humour. I see him as a part of me,” Hanan remarked during the interview.

Hanan also conveyed her family’s appreciation to Nigerians who chose to forgive her father for any perceived wrongdoings or policies during his presidency.

“I want to thank everyone who forgave my late father. On behalf of our family, we are grateful. We have nothing to say to them except to thank God,” she said.

She further shared insights into her upbringing under Buhari’s watchful guidance. Hanan reflected on how her father instilled in her the importance of education, prayer, and the pursuit of happiness.

“He disciplined me to study, pray, and do things that made us happy,” she added.

Despite the sorrow of losing a parent, Hanan expressed a sense of spiritual acceptance, acknowledging that her father’s passing was God’s will.

“But since Allah has decreed it, Alhamdulillah, I had the chance to be with him and read the Qur’an to him,” she concluded.
