The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced a new date for its much-anticipated elective national convention, confirming that the event will now hold in November 2025.
Ologunagba clarified that while Kano State was previously scheduled to host the convention, logistical and strategic considerations have led to the decision to shift the venue to Ibadan.
In a related development, Umar Iliya Damagum, the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, revealed a positive shift within the party ranks. According to Damagum, many of the members who previously aligned with a political coalition have begun to return to the PDP.
He reassured the party faithful that the PDP is strategically prepared to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections. He maintained that the party’s grassroots structure and national spread are unmatched, making it the only viable alternative to the APC-led government.
