German Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund has expressed interest in acquiring KRC Genk’s prolific forward, Tolu Arokodare, ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
Arokodare is currently leading the scoring charts in the Belgian Pro League, having netted an impressive 22 goals and provided seven assists so far this season. The Nigerian striker’s performance has not gone unnoticed, as he has attracted attention from clubs in England and Turkey.
Last summer, Arokodare was on the verge of joining Trabzonspor, one of Turkey’s top-flight teams. However, his move was halted following discussions with Genk’s head coach, Thorsten Fink, who convinced him to remain at the Cegeka Arena for another season.
According to Transfermarkt, Borussia Dortmund has now listed Arokodare among their key targets for next season’s squad development. With his consistent form and goal-scoring prowess, the 24-year-old has emerged as a strong candidate to bolster Dortmund’s attacking options.
Genk, meanwhile, is reportedly open to negotiating Arokodare’s departure, provided a suitable offer is submitted. Despite his current contract running until 2027, the club may consider a transfer if the terms are favorable.
