In a tragic incident, four officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) lost their lives after being ambushed by Boko Haram insurgents. The attack occurred on November 18, 2024, during an inspection tour of the national grid installations in Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State, near the boundary with Kaduna State.
