Eid Celebration Turns Deadly in Sokoto State
In a chilling display of lawlessness, notorious bandit leader Bello Turji held an extravagant Eid celebration in Magira, Isa Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto State before leading his gang to Fadamar Lugu, where they ruthlessly killed 12 people and left one person injured.
The gruesome attack, which took place on Tuesday, was reported by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
How the Attack Unfolded
According to Bakatsine, Turji and his armed gang gathered in Magira for an Eid feast, which was attended by fellow bandits from neighboring Zamfara State. The celebration soon turned into a massacre when the group moved to Fadamar Lugu, unleashing terror on innocent residents.
“Bandit leader Bello Turji hosted an Eid celebration in Magira, Isa LGA, with bandits from Zamfara State. After the feast, he moved to Fadamar Lugu in Isa LGA, Sokoto State, killing 12 people & injuring one person just for fun,” Bakatsine wrote on X.
