Tinubu Urged to Appoint Competent Individuals for Success – Bishop Katung

Bishop Jonas Katung, Founder and President of Living Stone Assembly, has called on President Bola Tinubu to prioritize appointing competent individuals to deliver on his campaign promises. In an interview with ONOJA AUDU, Bishop Katung discusses Tinubu’s administration, the role of the Middle Belt, and the importance of infrastructure development. Support for President Bola Tinubu Bishop Katung dismissed allegations of tribalism and sectionalism against President Tinubu, urging Nigerians to unite in support of his administration. According to Katung, tribal or sectional agendas cannot succeed in a diverse country like Nigeria. Instead, the focus should be on appointing qualified individuals from across the nation to foster inclusivity. Katung highlighted that President Tinubu’s administration began by removing underperforming officials, contrasting it with the previous administration. “The Buhari era saw retired individuals reappointed, leading to stagnation and financial mismanagement,” he said. The bishop believes that Tinubu’s success lies in surrounding himself with capable hands while ensuring that all regions, especially the Middle Belt, are represented. “The Middle Belt has always been pivotal to Nigeria’s unity and progress. During the civil war, Middle Belters played a critical role, and their contributions today remain invaluable,” Katung emphasized. Infrastructure Development: A Priority Bishop Katung criticized the state of Nigeria’s infrastructure, particularly roads and railways. He highlighted the need for modern road designs with proper drainage systems and durable construction to improve transportation and economic activity. “Roads linking the Middle Belt to other parts of the country, such as Abuja to Makurdi, must be prioritized. These routes are essential for moving goods and promoting national integration,” Katung said. He also advocated for the expansion of railway lines to connect regions, reducing the burden on road transportation. Middle Belt Representation Katung urged President Tinubu to leverage the Middle Belt’s unwavering support by appointing representatives from the region into strategic positions. He stressed that the Middle Belt holds the key to the President’s success and continuity beyond 2027. “The Middle Belt is the stabilizing force of the nation, much like a belt holds trousers in place. Neglecting this region is at the country’s detriment,” Katung stated, reiterating the need for balance in national appointments. Message at 64: Gratitude and Purpose Reflecting on his 64th birthday, Bishop Katung expressed gratitude for life and the love shown by friends and family. He described the milestone as a testament to God’s faithfulness. “I’ve seen God’s love in my life. Despite challenges, people from across the North and South came to celebrate with me. Birthdays remind us of the gift of life and the importance of living in God’s purpose,” Katung said. Conclusion Bishop Katung’s call to action underscores the need for capable leadership, regional inclusivity, and infrastructural development to secure Nigeria’s progress. His message serves as a reminder that the success of any administration relies on uniting the nation and addressing its pressing challenges. Rhapsody of Realities December 6th 2024. HE GAVE US KINGDOM AUTHORITY

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). In our previous study, we learnt that we’ve been transferred from the jurisdiction or domain of darkness into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son. So, we’re currently in the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son. But what happens here? How are we supposed to live now that we’re in the Kingdom? Are we supposed to cry to God for the solution to one problem or the other? No! Having brought us into the Kingdom, we have Kingdom authority! The Lord Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…” (Luke 10:19). Then recall what He said in our opening scripture: “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18). He’s given you the authority to determine the course and circumstances of your life. What you say is what obtains because you’re standing in the authority of Jesus Christ. If you observe that things around you or the circumstances of your life aren’t aligning with God’s perfect will, give the word and He’ll endorse it. He allows what you allow and disallows what you disallow. He’s given you the authority to effect changes when things aren’t happening right. Now you can understand why some people have remained in certain precarious conditions for a long time; it’s because they allowed it to continue. As a Christian, the day you decide you don’t want any particular issue to continue is the day it will stop. Maybe it’s sickness—perhaps a tumour or growth in your body—decide and declare, “l can’t have this in my body; my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore, I curse this growth and cut out this tumour in the Name of Jesus.” That’ll be it! Don’t say, “Oh God, please take this sickness away”; that won’t change anything. He’s not responsible for it; rather, He’s given you the authority to do something about it. It doesn’t matter what challenges you may be facing today. Don’t cry. Don’t beg. Don’t cower or complain. Exercise your authority in Christ! What does it take to exercise that authority? We’ll learn more about that in our next study. PRAYERDear Father, I thank you for giving me the authority to effect changes and determine the course and circumstances of my life in line with your perfect will. Even now, your blessings—health, peace and prosperity—are evident in my life. I walk in righteousness, propelled by your wisdom as I fulfil my destiny in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY:|| Mark 11:23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. || || Matthew 16:19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. || || Mark 16:17-18And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. || Daily Affirmations: I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and I abide under the shadow of the Almighty in health, safety, prosperity and joy. In everything I do today, and everywhere I go, I’m mindful of God’s love, and that consciousness inspires faith and boldness in me to face the circumstances of life and win. Excellence, glory, health, peace, virtue, and success describe my life. I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all principalities, powers, might, and dominions. No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper and no illegal transactions can thrive in my body because I’m born of God, and my life is hid with Christ in God. I refuse to be sick! God wants me well, so I declare that I will always be well. I declare that the Spirit of God has enlightened my heart and caused me to grasp and walk in the deeper realities of the Kingdom! Now I know that I cannot be disadvantaged because the God that does the unimaginable is shining through me, and as He is, so am I in this world. I am the light of the world, and there’s no area of darkness in my life because I am the light of the world. The kind of blessings coming to me now, cannot be humanly explained. Unusual and unexplained monies, benefits and bonuses come to me. I have money everywhere. I am a big-time kingdom financier. I have the supernatural intervention of the Almighty God in all my affairs. My wealth is unending. My wealth is inexhaustible. I am the expression of God’s fullness; He is my completeness. It makes no difference what challenges I face in life; there’s a force – an empowerment – at work in me to blaze through the barriers. I live in health, prosperity, and excellence. I have no lack in this life because all my needs are met in Christ Jesus. Satan has nothing in me because I am full of the Spirit at all times. I manifest God’s glory, virtue, excellence, and greatness to my world, bringing glory to the Name of the Lord continually. My body and all my members and faculties are a living sacrifice, holy, devoted, consecrated and well-pleasing to God, which is my service
