UCL: Lamine Yamal Shatters Kylian Mbappe’s Record as Barcelona Hold Inter Milan to Thrilling 3-3 Draw

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal etched his name into the history books on Wednesday night by becoming the youngest player to score in a UEFA Champions League semi-final. The teenage sensation surpassed the previous record set by Kylian Mbappe, delivering a mesmerizing performance during Barcelona’s intense 3-3 draw against Inter Milan. The Spanish international executed a dazzling solo run, weaving past the Inter Milan defense before curling the ball into the net—an extraordinary goal that revitalized Barcelona’s hopes. Before Yamal’s brilliance, Inter Milan had taken a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries. However, Yamal’s electrifying effort shifted the momentum, helping the Catalan giants claw back into the encounter. Ultimately, both sides shared the spoils in the first leg of the semi-final fixture. At just 17 years and 291 days, Yamal has now become the youngest footballer to score in the semi-final stage of Europe’s elite club competition. He broke Mbappe’s 2017 record when the Frenchman scored for Monaco against Juventus at 18 years and 140 days old. Yamal has now tallied four goals and four assists in 11 Champions League appearances, finding the net at every stage of the tournament so far—a feat that underscores his rapid rise in European football. Cristiano Ronaldo Responds Emotionally After Al Nassr Crashes Out of AFC Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned captain of Al Nassr, has shared a heartfelt message following his team’s elimination from the AFC Champions League semi-final stage. Al Nassr’s hopes of clinching a title this season were dashed after a narrow 3-2 loss to Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale, leaving Ronaldo without a trophy for another year in Saudi Arabian football. Earlier in the season, Al Nassr also faced disappointment in the King’s Cup, being knocked out in October. Currently, they are trailing behind Saudi Pro League leaders, Al-Ittihad, by a margin of eight points, with only five matches remaining in the league calendar. Facing yet another trophyless season, Ronaldo took to his official X account to express gratitude to fans and commend the relentless efforts of his teammates. He stated:“Sometimes the dream has to wait. I’m proud of this team and everything we gave on the pitch. Thank you to all the fans who believed in us and stood by us every step of the way. Your support means the world.” Despite the setback, Ronaldo remains committed and appreciative of the journey, emphasizing the importance of unity and fan dedication during challenging times. UCL: Thierry Henry Hints Lamine Yamal Could Surpass Messi and Ronaldo in the Future

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has raised eyebrows by suggesting that Barcelona’s winger, Lamine Yamal, could eventually be better than football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, following his dazzling performance for the Catalan giants against Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday. Yamal left a lasting impression on both fans and pundits after Barcelona fought back to secure a 3-3 draw with Inter Milan at the Camp Nou. At just 17 years old, Yamal has already played 100 matches for Barcelona, accumulating an impressive 22 goals and 33 assists. Speaking on CBS Sports after the match, former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher compared Yamal’s play to the peak performances of Messi, saying it was akin to “watching Messi in his prime.” However, Henry took the conversation a step further, remarking: “We often talk about players who are destined for greatness, but one thing that continually astounds me in football is how we always think there’s no way anyone could surpass Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo. Or, in my era, Pele or [Diego] Maradona… And then along comes Yamal.” The young star will look to keep up his remarkable form when Barcelona travels to Italy for the return leg at the San Siro next week. UCL: Ferdinand Praises Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal as a Standout Talent

Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand has lavished praise on Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal after the young star’s stellar performance in his side’s 3-3 UEFA Champions League draw against Inter Milan on Wednesday. Ferdinand, speaking highly of the 17-year-old, claimed that Yamal is head and shoulders above any player in the top five leagues worldwide. The former England defender believes that the Spanish international is currently the best player in the world, hailing his exceptional talent. Following the match, Ferdinand took to Twitter on X, stating: “As a pure football talent, I’m going as far as to say I think Lamine Yamal is on another level to any player playing the game in the top [five] leagues in world football.” LMSINT MEDIA reports that Inter Milan initially surged to a two-goal lead in the first half of the Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona. Marcus Thuram opened the scoring just 60 seconds into the match, and Denzel Dumfries extended their lead with a magnificent overhead kick. However, Yamal got one back for Barcelona, and soon after, Ferran Torres made a well-timed run to equalize before the break. Inter regained the lead through Dumfries’ header off a corner kick, but Raphinha’s long-range effort, which took a deflection off Yann Sommer, brought the match back to a draw. UCL: Schmeichel Critiques Arsenal Star After 1-0 Loss to PSG

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has called out Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka following the Gunners’ 1-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday. Schmeichel believes that the England international had a subdued performance during the match against the French team, as Arsenal let down their supporters at the Emirates Stadium. A fourth-minute goal from Ousmane Dembele gave PSG a crucial victory, putting them in a strong position ahead of the return leg in Munich. Despite the loss, Mikel Arteta’s side fought hard, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. Brazil’s Gabriel Martinelli forced PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma into a remarkable save just before the break. A header by Mikel Merino in the second half was ruled out for offside after a VAR review. On CBS Sports’ post-match analysis, Schmeichel remarked that several of Arsenal’s key players had subpar performances. When the absence of Thomas Partey was mentioned as a possible reason for the lackluster performance, Schmeichel responded, “Do you think it was only that? Because I feel it was more about several of the top players not showing up tonight.” “I found Saka to be extremely quiet. It felt like a combination of him having a bad day and PSG keeping him under control. He seemed a bit fatigued, to be honest,” Schmeichel added. “When he had chances to challenge Nuno Mendes, he just didn’t display that signature Saka magic we’ve come to expect.” Arsenal now face a tough task in the second leg as they travel to Paris, hoping to secure a 2-0 win over PSG and keep their Champions League dream alive. Barcelona’s forward Raphinha has made history by breaking a record once held by the club’s legendary former captain, Lionel Messi. The Brazilian winger achieved this feat during Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Inter Milan on Wednesday evening. Raphinha not only scored a goal but also provided an assist in the thrilling 3-3 draw at the Olympic Stadium in Catalunya. His performance was instrumental in Barcelona’s fightback from a 2-0 deficit, leveling the scoreline in front of their home crowd. The 28-year-old’s key moment came in the 38th minute, when he assisted his team’s second goal with a perfectly cushioned header that set up Ferran Torres, who scored from close range. This assist marked Raphinha’s 8th of the competition this season, to go along with 12 goals in 13 appearances. His total of 20 goal contributions has now surpassed Lionel Messi’s club record of 19 goal contributions in a single Champions League campaign, a mark set during the 2011-12 season. Raphinha was close to extending his record further in the second half with a powerful shot from outside the box that struck the crossbar. Akon Shares His Influence in the Emergence of Afrobeats Genre

Renowned Senegalese-American musician Akon has revealed his significant contribution to the evolution of the Afrobeats music scene. He stated that his involvement with Nigerian artists and producers during the late 2000s and early 2010s was instrumental in laying the groundwork for what is now globally recognized as Afrobeats. As the founder of Konvict Muzik, Akon reminisced about his collaborative efforts with major Nigerian stars such as Wizkid, Banky W, P-Square, and D’banj, long before the genre achieved international acclaim through the ‘Afrobeats to the World’ wave. During an interview on the Sherri show, Akon explained: “2008 was the last time I released a studio album, titled Freedom. After that, I began producing music for the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa. Following that project, I traveled to Nigeria. The sounds and collaborations we initiated in Nigeria at that time have become what is now celebrated worldwide as Afrobeats.” He went on to recall signing Wizkid in 2008, marking the beginning of his work with Nigerian talents. “Wizkid was the first Nigerian artist we officially signed. I see myself as a vessel through which success flows to others. Davido Says Nigerian Music Scene Went Quiet During His Social Media Hiatus

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely recognized by his stage name Davido, has revealed that the Nigerian music scene experienced an unusual silence during his absence from social media in late 2022. The award-winning artist shared that his decision to go offline in November 2022—a move made following the heartbreaking loss of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke—had a notable impact on the music industry. According to Davido, the atmosphere within the Nigerian music space shifted significantly during that period. Reflecting on the three-month hiatus, Davido stated that both supporters and critics were pleading for his return to social media platforms. During a recent conversation with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, the singer detailed the overwhelming reactions he observed during his offline period. He explained, “I was well aware of the affection people had for me. When I stopped being active on social media, the entire Nigerian music industry came to a standstill. I kept seeing posts that read, ‘We do love him’, ‘It’s so quiet out here’, ‘Davido come back.’ Even those who usually criticize me were saying, ‘Please come back, we need to bash you.’” LMSINT MEDIA previously reported that Davido went on a social media break after the tragic passing of his son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s residence in Lagos. He made his comeback to social media in March 2023, announcing his fourth studio project titled ‘Timeless’, which was met with widespread excitement from fans. Peller Shares Why He No Longer Enjoys Seeing His Family

Nigerian digital influencer and live streamer Habeeb Hamzat, better known by his online alias Peller, has opened up about the emotional weight of carrying family responsibilities at an early age. During a heartfelt conversation with fellow TikTok personality, Sandra Benede, the 19-year-old revealed the distress he faces as the main provider for his family — despite the fact that both his parents and older siblings are alive and well. He shared that taking on the family’s financial burden has made him feel more like a parent than a teenager. For this reason, he now prefers to support them from a distance rather than physically being around them. “I don’t feel mentally okay anymore. Just recently, I ended up sleeping in my car till the next morning. I’m not even 20 yet, and I’m already facing so much pressure. It’s unfair,” Peller disclosed during the talk. He admitted that his maturity has evolved beyond the typical expectations for someone his age, stating that being around his family often leaves him emotionally drained. “I no longer enjoy seeing my family. I just make sure they are okay by sending what they need. I’ve outgrown the mindset of living under my parents’ roof. Even with an older brother, I feel like I’m the one playing the parental role.” Peller continued by expressing his fatigue and desperation for peace. He confessed that he’s even contemplated relocating to the U.S. just to disconnect and escape the overwhelming responsibility. “I work hard like a parent without rest. At times, I want to run away to the United States and disappear from the online space. I’ve thought about doing it several times, but I hold back because I don’t want them to worry. I used to miss my mother a lot when I traveled as a child. Now, I don’t feel that way about anyone in my family except for Jarvis. I talk to them on the phone, but I don’t miss them.” For deeper insights into mental health challenges faced by young adults taking on early responsibilities, visit World Health Organization – Adolescent mental health. Lagos Court Sentences Two Men to 21 Years in Prison for Maza Maza Motor Park Armed Robbery

A Lagos State High Court situated at Tafawa Balewa Square has imposed a 21-year prison sentence on two individuals, Emmanuel Victor and Wisdom Ikechukwu, following their involvement in an armed robbery targeting commuters at the Maza Maza motor park. Presiding Judge, Justice Yetunde Adesanya, delivered the ruling on Tuesday, convicting the pair on three of four charges brought against them by the Lagos State Government — conspiracy, armed robbery, and theft. The prosecution detailed that the robbery occurred on January 8, 2022, around 4:30 a.m., when the two men, armed with cutlasses, ambushed three passengers who were waiting to board a vehicle at the park. Personal items, including an iPhone 7, Infinix Hot 10, Samsung S8, and ₦5,000 cash, were forcibly taken from a victim identified only as Benjamin. The suspects were arraigned on April 21, 2022, and their trial officially began on November 18, 2023. Final written arguments from both sides concluded by early 2025, leading to the final judgment. Citing Sections 135, 297, and 299 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, Justice Adesanya noted that the prosecution successfully proved its case beyond reasonable doubt. “The guilt of an accused may be established through witness testimony, circumstantial evidence, and voluntary confessional statements,” she remarked. A police officer from the Festac Division, serving as a lead witness, confirmed that the accused were members of a notorious robbery gang that had been terrorizing commuters in the Maza Maza axis. During the investigation, both Emmanuel and Wisdom admitted to using cutlasses during the attack — confessions described by the judge as clear and voluntary. Another eyewitness, a commercial driver, who reported the attack shortly after it occurred, provided an account consistent with those of other victims. This led to a swift police response and the suspects’ arrest. Stolen items were recovered, matched to their rightful owners, and returned after proper verification and documentation. Delivering judgment, Justice Adesanya declared: “The two defendants are hereby found guilty of the charges of conspiracy and robbery. These offenses carry a minimum sentence of 21 years imprisonment.” Prior to sentencing, defence lawyers Mrs. Ogbosa Apata and Mr. B.C. Akunna pleaded for leniency, highlighting the defendants’ youth and their potential for reform. Akunna, representing Ikechukwu, emphasized that his client was a first-time offender who had only just finished secondary school at the time of the crime. “They have suffered for their crimes and have shown remorse,” he said, requesting the court to temper justice with mercy. After careful consideration, Justice Adesanya ruled: “The first and second convicts are sentenced to 21 years imprisonment each for counts one, two, and four. They are acquitted of count three. The sentences shall commence from the day they were first remanded in custody.” Related Post: BUY ANYTHING ON KONG BUY NOW Follow the LMSINT MEDIA channel on WhatsApp: Join Our WhatsApp Group Hear: Chat on WhatsApp Join our Telegram Channel

Prince Adebayo Urges New SDP Members to Embrace Party Ideology and Reject Past Political Habits

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has called on recent defectors to fully embrace the party’s ideological values and avoid bringing over disruptive tendencies from their former political affiliations. While speaking during a live session on News Central Breakfast Show, monitored by a correspondent, Adebayo emphasized that the party’s national structure—across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory—has received proper briefing to guide and educate new entrants, regardless of their social or political standing. He highlighted the party’s commitment to reinforcing its core identity: “We have taken deliberate steps to define what the SDP represents. That is why you’re seeing specific reactions as people join. We welcome everyone but insist that they must align with our ideological principles.” Adebayo firmly stated that negative behaviors commonly observed in other political parties will not be tolerated in the SDP. “We spend time informing our members. Don’t suddenly become comfortable with funds you didn’t earn. Don’t build fake structures, register unlawfully, fragment the party, or push ethnic divisions. That’s not what we stand for.” According to him, resistance to such habits has already caused tension among some newcomers who expect lavish spending or luxurious facilities: “When newcomers request a bigger secretariat or suggest excessive spending, our members are quick to say, ‘That’s not what we’re about. You can keep your money.’” In a firm message from SDP state chairpersons, Adebayo recounted: “They issued a press conference urging new entrants to study our party ideology rather than impose theirs. We’re not interested in changing our identity. We want to influence others positively, not the other way around.” He also referred to a recent viral speech delivered at his wife’s 50th birthday celebration, where he warned defectors with questionable motives: “If you were aligned with President Tinubu or had conspiracies in your previous party that failed, don’t bring that energy to the SDP. We’re not interested in past schemes or unfulfilled promises.” When asked about the current administration’s performance, Adebayo reiterated his opposition to President Tinubu’s policies: “We strongly oppose the policies of this administration. We have no past collaboration with them. Even when they offered us appointments post-election, we declined quietly. We don’t need positions; we’re here to present meaningful alternatives.” Adebayo explained that discussions with potential political coalitions must be grounded in public interest: “If you’re planning to gain power just for control, don’t approach us. But if you genuinely intend to serve the people, demonstrate repentance, accountability, and propose new strategies, then we can talk.” He concluded that the door is open for well-meaning individuals who prove themselves over time: “Once you’ve shown real commitment and reformed behavior, you can rise through our ranks. It may not be this election, but in future ones, we might give you a platform.” Related Post: News Central: Interview Coverage with Prince Adebayo BUY ANYTHING ON KONG BUY NOW Follow the LMSINT MEDIA channel on WhatsApp: Join Our WhatsApp Group Hear: Chat on WhatsApp Join our Telegram Channel
