Rhapsody of Realities May 6th 2025, KEEP A DIARY OF SOULS

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Here’s my concern: that you care for God’s flock with all the diligence of a shepherd… (1 Peter 5:2 MSG). In the previous study, we reviewed the importance of complete evangelism. When you lead someone to Christ, you should keep track of their journey in Christ. Two years later, for example, you should still remember them and keep praying for them. Consider keeping a diary of the people you lead to Christ, and you’ll be amazed at how long that list will become over time. As you lead people to Christ, encourage them to do the same. Tell them, “When you lead someone to Christ, let me know. You can send me their names and addresses. I’ll be praying for them.” As your list grows, take time to bow your knees before the Father and pray for everyone on your list. The Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, said in Galatians 4:19, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.” Pray like this for those whose names are on your list. Be strategic with your intercession for them, that they be established in the faith, doing the will of the Father, active in the work of the ministry, and bringing glory to God always. Pray also for other new converts whom the Lord has added to the church, that they be established in the Word, firmly rooted and grounded in the faith, and that the Lord is perfecting His work in their lives for His glory. Pray for them to be more and more passionate, committed and fearless labourers of the end-time harvest, and that through them, more souls receive the Gospel gladly and are converted to the Kingdom. In John 17:12, Jesus said, “…those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost….” This should always be your testimony concerning all those you lead to Christ or those whom the Lord adds to your local assembly through your evangelical efforts. Remember that evangelism has to be a conscious effort. It must be a sincere and personal ministry; it’s not a one-time event. It is a continuous, deliberate effort to bring others into God’s Kingdom and follow them up until they’re nurtured and grounded in the Faith. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the ministry of reconciliation. I take personal responsibility for those I lead to Christ. I remain fervent in prayer for their growth and dedication to spiritual things. Thank you for the joy and fulfilment of seeing lives transformed for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Atiku May Not Be Destined To Lead Nigeria – Presidential Aide Advises Former Vice President

A senior official in the presidency has remarked that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar may not be divinely appointed to serve as President of Nigeria, encouraging him to embrace the possibility with acceptance and faith. Daniel Bwala, who serves as the Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, made this assertion during a televised interview on TVC News on Monday. During the program, he addressed the issues of political transition and the evolving landscape of opposition politics in Nigeria. Bwala emphasized the importance of accepting reality and advised Atiku to work hand in hand with President Tinubu in the interest of national development. “If I had a chance to speak to him directly, I would say: ‘Your Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, one must believe in destiny. God bestows leadership on whomever He pleases, and based on current events, it appears it may not be the divine will for you to govern this nation,’” he stated. The presidential aide called on Atiku, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, to align himself with Tinubu’s government and leave a remarkable legacy—even if it is accomplished through someone else. “There are still numerous ways to make a meaningful impact. You have shared a long-standing friendship with President Bola Tinubu—join forces and offer your input to build the Nigeria you both envisioned for the people. Your lasting memory could be that, even in your political twilight, you succeeded in achieving aspects of your aspirations, even if they were through your ally.” Bwala warned that if Atiku insists on running again and seeks the presidency at all costs, the end of his political journey might not unfold as pleasantly as expected. “At this point, he has witnessed significant losses from within his political base—perhaps 60 to 70 percent of his followers,” he continued. Bwala noted that many younger politicians who once stood by Atiku are now determined to establish their own paths to leadership and have shown no intention of stepping back. This commentary comes in the wake of multiple defections from opposition parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Earlier in March, Atiku stated that he remained uncertain about running for the presidency in 2027, noting that such a decision would depend on the availability of a strong and credible platform. 2027: Tinubu May Step Aside, Amaechi’s Intentions to Be Clarified Soon – Says APC Leader

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State and known political associate of former Transportation Minister Chibuike Amaechi, has hinted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu might not pursue re-election in 2027. In a press release, Chief Eze stated that the political landscape in 2027 could bring unexpected developments, particularly if the United States releases a purported dossier involving President Tinubu. He emphasized that Chibuike Amaechi stands out as a strong contender who is best positioned to challenge President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential race. According to Eze, a significant number of Nigerians are consistently reaching out to him, seeking clarity on Amaechi’s political future and whether he intends to contest the 2027 presidency. These inquiries focus on Amaechi’s political stance, his interest in leading the country, and whether he will declare his ambition officially. Eze, who once served as the National Publicity Secretary for the now-defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), shared that these frequent calls reflect widespread public dissatisfaction with the current administration’s governance. He remarked, “Nigerians are eager to understand Amaechi’s political direction because the existing government appears detached from the nation’s pressing issues. An administration that is solely focused on manipulating its way into power for 2027 has already failed in principle.” Chief Eze criticized the state of the nation under the current leadership, citing a deteriorating economy, food insecurity, widespread hunger, rampant violence, and daily occurrences of criminal activity as evidence of failed governance. He argued that any serious government would be actively seeking solutions rather than strategizing on how to retain power. He added, “The public call for Amaechi to take action stems from a national need for new direction. Nigeria is crying out for a leader who can bring stability and hope.” Highlighting Amaechi’s political history, Eze praised his public service record, describing him as a national asset and an ideal presidential candidate. He emphasized that individuals like Amaechi are crucial for leading Nigeria out of its current challenges. Eze concluded by stating that 2027 could unfold with major political upheavals. If the U.S. government follows through with its alleged plans to release a file on President Tinubu, it could change the course of the upcoming election. “Given the widespread failures of this administration, Tinubu’s re-election aspirations may not even reach the ballot,” he said.Related News: Brookings Institution – Nigeria’s Political Landscape. Trump Proposes $1,000 Incentive for Undocumented Migrants Who Voluntarily Leave the US

In a bold move by the US government, President Donald Trump announced a new initiative offering undocumented immigrants $1,000 and travel expenses if they voluntarily return to their countries of origin. Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, Trump disclosed that the administration intends to support undocumented migrants who choose to self-deport through financial assistance and free transportation. “We plan to provide each individual with a set amount of money and a comfortable flight back to their homeland,” Trump stated. “We will collaborate with them, and if they’re good people—the kind we want in our country—they might be eligible to return legally someday.” The President emphasized that the new approach will create an opportunity for eligible migrants to re-enter the United States legally in the future. DHS Secretary Highlights Benefits of Voluntary Return Plan Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem expanded on the program, emphasizing that self-deportation is the most secure, humane, and economical method for undocumented migrants to exit the country and avoid arrest. She noted that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will provide financial assistance through the CBP Home app, which was developed to facilitate self-deportation procedures. According to DHS, each participant will receive the $1,000 stipend after their return to their home country is confirmed via the app. “Self-deportation offers undocumented individuals a dignified route out of the United States while avoiding interactions with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” the department explained. Cost-Saving Strategy for Immigration Enforcement The DHS also highlighted the significant cost-saving aspect of the initiative. INTERPOL Uncovers Dozens of Canadian Stolen Vehicles in Nigeria During West Africa Crackdown

A global police effort led by INTERPOL has revealed a major stolen vehicle operation across West Africa, with numerous stolen cars, including several traced back to Canada, found in Nigeria. The operation, named “Safe Wheels,” involved law enforcement agencies across 12 West African countries and resulted in the identification of approximately 150 stolen vehicles. Among these, more than 75 were seized, including several located in Lagos, Nigeria. According to an official INTERPOL statement, the discovery was made possible through its Stolen Motor Vehicle (SMV) database, which plays a critical role in the global fight against vehicle theft. Vehicles were traced primarily from Canada, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 2024 alone, the database flagged over 270,000 stolen vehicles worldwide, offering law enforcement agencies across INTERPOL’s 196 member nations the ability to verify suspicious vehicles. Over a two-week period, police forces across West Africa inspected 12,600 vehicles. Popular vehicle brands found stolen included Toyota, Peugeot, and Honda. Traffickers moved these vehicles by both land and sea routes, with Nigeria being a key hub for shipping. Authorities from countries including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo took part in the large-scale inspection operation. In Lagos, officers from the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) found six smuggled vehicles inside freight containers, four of which bore visible signs of forced entry. The vehicles, including Toyota and Lexus models, were verified by the SMV database as having been stolen in Canada earlier in 2024. Investigations into the shipment are ongoing and involve collaboration between the NCS and Canada’s INTERPOL National Central Bureau. David Caunter, INTERPOL’s Director of Organized and Emerging Crime, emphasized the importance of the SMV platform. He described it as a vital tool for tracking stolen vehicles and exposing the organized networks behind their smuggling.
