There’s a level of maturity that the Church of Jesus Christ all over the world is expected to come to before the Rapture of the Church. This doesn’t mean every individual will become mature overnight, because we’re still winning souls. Therefore, there’ll be baby Christians, and it’ll take time to train and raise them in the Word. But God’s people are growing, becoming more aware and more united in the faith. This will continue until such a time that there’ll be unity in the spirit. What unifies God’s people in this manner is the knowledge of the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. What the opening scripture tells us isn’t something to be achieved in heaven but here on earth. Notice it says, “Till we all come…,” not just some of us but the whole Church moving in unity. Even the babes in Christ who don’t know much are expected to follow the guidance of those who have walked with the Lord longer. That’s why Paul could confidently say, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). He said, “Copy me,” because he was following the Master. It’s like living in a city with a high level of enlightenment; even if someone never went to school, he or she would be cultured likewise by simply being in that environment. In Christ, we all live in God’s spiritual city: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22). Peter Obi elaborated by saying, “We have voted for incompetence, we’ve voted for tribe, and we’ve voted for religion. It is time to vote for competence.” He further emphasized that he wanted northerners to have confidence in him, assuring them that their greatest resources lie within their region, particularly in the vast, underutilized agricultural lands. In a determined effort to strengthen electricity distribution and uplift small-scale enterprises, Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, has officially flagged off the rollout of 500 transformers, beginning with the first phase, for the benefit of rural communities spread across all 44 local government areas of the state. During the unveiling ceremony held on Sunday, Governor Yusuf emphasized that this initiative targets the ongoing challenge of erratic electricity supply, which has negatively affected grassroots economic activity and slowed broader socio-economic development throughout Kano State. He elaborated that delivering these transformers forms a critical component of his government’s wider development blueprint, which is focused on redefining industrial capacity and revitalizing entrepreneurial activities, especially in rural regions where infrastructure gaps have been most severe. Governor Yusuf explained that investing in reliable electricity networks fits directly into his administration’s policy objectives of ensuring lighting for both rural and urban environments. He underscored that enhancing illumination is a strategic tool to counteract security threats often associated with darkness in underserved neighborhoods. The governor made a public appeal to all relevant stakeholders, urging them to take full responsibility for these newly distributed facilities. He also gave clear instructions to the local government chairpersons to form dedicated committees charged with safeguarding the installations and guaranteeing that they are well maintained. Speaking further on the importance of the initiative, Governor Yusuf highlighted: “This marks only the first phase of our ambitious plan, and it represents another significant step toward fulfilling our pledge to expand rural electrification across the state. AbdulKadir Abdulsalam, who serves as the Commissioner for Rural Community Development, offered high praise for the governor’s devotion to uplifting people’s lives and advancing the microeconomic environment of rural Kano. The commissioner described the transformer distribution program as a remarkable landmark, echoing the governor’s clear determination to address the structural and development challenges holding back rural settlements. According to Abdulsalam, “The delivery of these transformers represents a huge accomplishment and an extraordinary leap that will transform livelihoods, enhance economic viability, strengthen the microeconomy, and unlock fresh investment prospects.
