Jadon Sancho’s Final Stance as Manchester United Accept £17.3m Transfer Deal

England international Jadon Sancho is now on the brink of a transfer to Italian giants Juventus, as Manchester United has reportedly agreed to a transfer deal worth approximately £17.3 million. The Premier League club has been actively seeking to offload the 25-year-old winger during this summer transfer window. Sancho, once seen as a marquee signing, has struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford and has found himself increasingly surplus to requirements in Erik ten Hag’s plans. This move comes shortly after Chelsea Football Club opted against finalizing a transfer for the winger. The London-based side had initially considered signing Sancho for £25 million but ultimately turned down the opportunity. As part of the breakdown of negotiations, Chelsea reportedly paid a £5 million compensation fee to return the player to Manchester United. Earlier in the summer, Jadon Sancho had reportedly come to a verbal agreement with Serie A side Napoli. However, Napoli—now under the management of Antonio Conte—declined to meet Manchester United’s valuation, which stood at £21.3 million at the time. This resulted in the collapse of the prospective deal with the Italian club. According to a new report from reputable Italian newspaper La Stampa, Juventus have now held productive discussions with Manchester United, leading to a breakthrough in negotiations. The result is a finalized £17.3 million transfer package, which both clubs have now agreed upon. In addition to the transfer fee, Sancho is said to have reached a personal agreement with Juventus, securing a lucrative contract valued at just over £5.2 million per season. This figure represents a substantial investment by the Italian side, who are looking to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season. Despite the agreement between the clubs and the player’s personal terms, there remains one final hurdle. Sancho has yet to finalize a severance package with Manchester United. The winger is reportedly demanding a minimum payout of £4.3 million from the club in order to formally end his stay at Old Trafford. The former Borussia Dortmund star is expected to push firmly for this severance settlement before making his departure official. Until that condition is met, the transfer remains in limbo despite the significant progress made on all other fronts. This move could mark a new chapter for Sancho’s career, offering a fresh start in Italy after a turbulent period in English football.

Mohbad’s Death: Lagos Coroner Urges Prosecution of Auxiliary Nurse for Medical Negligence

In a pivotal ruling delivered at the Lagos State Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, the magistrate overseeing the inquest into the death of Nigerian music star Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has advised that legal proceedings be initiated against auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe. This recommendation is based on the court’s determination that the nurse’s conduct amounted to gross medical negligence, significantly contributing to the tragic passing of the singer. Presiding Magistrate C.A. Shotobi concluded on Friday that Ogedengbe had administered an injection to Mohbad without a valid medical prescription or authorization from a certified physician. The nurse’s actions, according to the magistrate, demonstrated a reckless disregard for professional standards and legal procedures governing medical care. Although the coroner’s inquest ruled out any form of homicide or direct foul play, the court clearly categorized Ogedengbe’s involvement as both unlawful and indicative of severe professional misconduct. “This court, in accordance with Section 29 of the Lagos State Coroner Law, recommends that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) commence appropriate legal proceedings against Feyisayo Ogedengbe for practicing medicine without certification and for engaging in acts of gross negligence,” Magistrate Shotobi stated firmly. It should be recalled that the auxiliary nurse was apprehended by law enforcement authorities following Mohbad’s controversial demise on September 11, 2023—an incident that sparked intense nationwide discourse and public demand for transparency and justice. During her appearance before the coroner’s court in March 2025, Ogedengbe confessed to administering a tetanus injection to the late singer. She further revealed that shortly after receiving the shot, Mohbad began to vomit and exhibited severe allergic reactions, which ultimately led to his death. This case has attracted widespread media coverage and continues to resonate deeply with fans, rights advocates, and the general public. The coroner’s recommendation for prosecution now places the focus on the Director of Public Prosecution, whose next move could set a significant precedent regarding accountability within Nigeria’s healthcare sector—especially concerning unauthorized medical practices.

2027 Presidential Race: Atiku, Obi, Amaechi, and Others to Sign Unified Pact Before ADC Presidential Primary

In a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, presidential aspirants under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have reached a strategic consensus to formally sign a binding pact. This agreement is aimed at solidifying a united front, wherein all aspirants will collectively support whichever candidate emerges as the official ADC presidential flagbearer. This significant revelation was made by one of the aspirants, Rotimi Amaechi, during an exclusive conversation with LEADERSHIP on Friday. According to a political report by LMSINT MEDIA, prominent political figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, have officially indicated their interest to contest under the ADC platform in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Despite widespread speculation suggesting that the party leadership may zone its presidential ticket to the northern region—an action that could bolster Atiku’s chances against incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu—the interim National Chairman of ADC, Senator David Mark, has decisively refuted these claims. Senator Mark, who previously served as Senate President, assured both members and supporters of the African Democratic Congress that his leadership would guarantee absolute transparency throughout the party’s nomination process. He emphasized that ADC has no preferred candidate, and fairness will be the core principle guiding the party’s internal democratic processes. In providing more clarity on the proposed agreement, Amaechi explained that the coalition of aspirants had come to a principled consensus, but that clarity and mutual understanding of what constitutes a transparent primary election were still crucial. “What we agreed in principle—and I must stress the importance of honesty in this—is that whoever emerges through a transparent primary election will receive collective support from all the aspirants,” Amaechi noted. He further raised a concern about the possibility of manipulation within the party primary process, cautioning against the misuse of the term transparency. “But before anything else, we must all agree on the definition of transparency in this context. It’s easy for someone to hijack the electoral process and still label it as transparent. That is what we must guard against,” he added. As the ADC prepares for its primary election, political analysts are watching closely to see how the pact among top contenders like Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi will shape the dynamics of opposition politics in 2027.

Why Nigeria’s NNPC Refineries May Never Work Again – Dangote Speaks Out

Aliko Dangote, the billionaire industrialist and president of the Dangote Group, has made a bold claim that Nigeria’s state-owned refineries—Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna—may never operate effectively again, despite the staggering $18 billion spent on their rehabilitation. The $18 Billion Question: Why Are NNPC Refineries Still Idle? While speaking during a tour of the newly built Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which has a massive capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, Dangote shed light on the years of failed refinery rehabilitation efforts. He explained that the decision to build his own refinery was influenced by the government’s refusal to privatize existing refineries during the late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua’s regime. “We purchased the refineries in 2007 along with other investors, but political changes forced us to return them,” Dangote said. Despite billions in investments over the years, the facilities have remained non-functional. “It’s Like Fixing a 40-Year-Old Car” — Dangote’s Analogy Dangote likened the effort to modernize the decades-old refineries to attempting to fix a 40-year-old vehicle with current technology—a futile process. “Even with a new engine, it won’t work because the structure is outdated,” he stated. This comment highlights the technological and structural obsolescence of Nigeria’s public refinery system. Obasanjo’s Take: NNPC Blocked Private Investment Former President Olusegun Obasanjo echoed Dangote’s concerns in a previous interview. He revealed that the government blocked private investment despite knowing NNPC couldn’t manage the refineries effectively. “Dangote and others paid $750 million to acquire the refineries. The Yar’Adua administration reversed the deal. Today, those refineries can’t even be sold for $200 million as scrap,” Obasanjo lamented. He also stated that the core of the problem is systemic corruption within NNPC, suggesting that accountability is long overdue. What This Means for Nigeria’s Oil Sector Nigeria remains one of the world’s top crude oil producers but continues to import refined petroleum due to the collapse of its local refineries. The reliance on foreign imports affects fuel prices, foreign reserves, and economic stability. With the full operation of the Dangote Refinery, many Nigerians are hopeful for a turnaround in local refining capacity. Why This Story Matters for 2025 and Beyond With global energy prices fluctuating and nations seeking energy independence, Nigeria’s dependence on imports despite local resources is a national crisis. Dangote’s refinery may mark a new chapter, but the lessons from the failed NNPC refineries must not be ignored. Dangote’s revelations are a stark reminder of how government inefficiencies and policy somersaults have paralyzed Nigeria’s vital oil infrastructure. As the nation pins its hopes on the success of Dangote Refinery, it’s clear that a private sector-led approach might be Nigeria’s only way out of energy dependency.

Rhapsody of Realities July 11th 2025, YOUR DIVINE IDENTITY

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). In Luke 6:44, the Lord Jesus made this remarkable statement: “For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.” In other words, when you see a tree that produces oranges, you call it an orange tree, or mangoes, a mango tree, as the case may be. The tree is identified by the fruit it produces. Now, let’s apply this to our opening scripture that talks about the fruits of the recreated human spirit. The first fruit listed is love. That means you’re a love tree, because you produce love fruit; love is a fruit of your spirit. Another fruit of your recreated spirit is joy; you produce joy fruit, and what does that make you? It means your name is Joy. Then there’s peace; since you produce peace fruit, that means you’re Peace. Longsuffering means patience, so your name is Patience because patience is a fruit of your spirit. So, never say “I’m not a very patient person.” You’re patient. Gentleness is another fruit; so, your name is Gentleness. Also, goodness; your name is Goodness. Then there’s faith, meekness, and temperance. These are all fruits of your spirit; they describe who you are. Praise God! Furthermore, Ephesians 1:17 shows another beautiful description of your divine identity by referring to our heavenly Father as “…the Father of glory….” If your Father is the Father of Glory, then who are you? It means your name is Glory. You’re the glory of God. Blessed be God! CONFESSIONI bear the fruits of righteousness, and I walk in the glory of God, manifesting love, joy, peace and all the virtues of the recreated human spirit. My life is an expression of God’s divine nature, and I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, radiating divine excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDYPhilippians 1:9-11And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Matthew 7:16-20Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Club World Cup Drama: Alonso Plans Crucial Talks with Mbappe, Vinicius After Real Madrid Defeat

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso is reportedly preparing for pivotal discussions with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr., following the team’s dramatic exit from the Club World Cup. This comes in the aftermath of their crushing 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the semi-finals on Wednesday night. The heavy defeat stunned fans and exposed several underlying concerns within the squad. According to reports from Spanish outlet Marca, Alonso aims to address serious issues related to team dynamics, especially with his star forwards. A Devastating Loss to PSG Madrid’s elimination came after a commanding display by PSG, who surged into a three-goal lead within the first 24 minutes of the match. Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring and later added another goal, while Ousmane Dembele also found the net to intensify Madrid’s troubles. To seal the win, Goncalo Ramos stepped off the bench and delivered a clinical fourth goal, making the result even more humiliating for the Spanish giants. Despite fielding an attacking lineup that featured Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham, Madrid failed to pose any meaningful threat throughout the game. Concerns Over Player Effort and Team Cohesion According to Marca, Alonso’s immediate plan involves private meetings with Mbappe and Vinicius in particular. The manager, who recently took over the reins at the Bernabéu, is concerned about their off-the-ball work rate and overall contribution to the team when not in possession. Reports indicate that the club’s top executives share these concerns, especially regarding the apparent lack of synergy and cooperative effort among key players. In addition, there is rising unease over negative body language and gestures directed at teammates during high-pressure moments on the pitch. Addressing Legacy Issues from Ancelotti’s Tenure Interestingly, these performance-related issues were not new. Former manager Carlo Ancelotti had reportedly highlighted similar problems during his time in charge. The current boss, Xabi Alonso — himself a former Madrid midfielder — seems determined to fix what his predecessor could not. Alonso’s strategy will involve confronting these stars head-on, emphasizing unity, responsibility, and a shared commitment to success. Real Madrid’s hopes of rebuilding after this setback will largely depend on how effectively these internal tensions are resolved.

Iyabo Ojo Invited by Police Over Alleged Cyberbullying Related to Mohbad’s Death Case

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has formally summoned popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, for questioning regarding alleged cyberbullying. This follows a live video she published back in 2023 where she publicly criticized certain individuals believed to be connected to the mysterious death of young singer, Mohbad. On Thursday, the actress, who is based in Lagos, took to social media to disclose that she had received an official invitation from the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja. According to her post, the allegations revolve around comments she made in the video, where she called out specific individuals to submit themselves for police interrogation and clear their names in connection with Mohbad’s tragic passing. “I was recently invited by the Nigeria Police Force, National Cybercrime Centre, Abuja, over petitions bordering on cyberbullying and other allegations concerning the live video I recorded a few years ago,” Iyabo stated. She elaborated further: “In that video, I requested certain individuals to make themselves available for investigation into Mohbad’s sudden death in order to prove their innocence or otherwise.” This development comes roughly four months after the court cleared music executive Sam Larry and controversial singer Naira Marley of any direct involvement in Mohbad’s untimely death. The Mohbad Case: Background Mohbad, whose full name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died in September 2023 under controversial and suspicious circumstances that quickly captured nationwide attention. Social media was flooded with past videos showing the artist being harassed and bullied—allegedly by his former label boss, Naira Marley, and his associate Sam Larry. The videos and emerging details surrounding Mohbad’s death triggered widespread outrage. Iyabo Ojo became one of the leading voices demanding justice. Her calls for accountability particularly focused on ensuring that those who had previous conflicts with the late singer were thoroughly investigated. Due to public outcry and continuous pressure on authorities, both Sam Larry and Naira Marley were arrested in October 2023. However, investigations concluded with their eventual release and legal clearance from any direct complicity in the death. Legal Battle Between Iyabo Ojo and Naira Marley The situation further escalated in December 2023, when Naira Marley, through his legal representatives, issued a demand letter to Iyabo Ojo, requesting a public apology along with ₦500 million in damages for alleged defamation and emotional distress caused by her video and public statements. Iyabo Ojo, in turn, responded with a countersuit totaling ₦1 billion, asserting that she acted in good faith and stood on the side of justice. Her legal team maintained that her demands for accountability were justified, given the gravity of the allegations and the sensitive nature of Mohbad’s death. Arsenal Close to Signing Chelsea’s Noni Madueke in £50m+ Deal

Arsenal Football Club is reportedly on the brink of finalizing the signing of Chelsea winger, Noni Madueke, as the player prepares to undergo medical examinations ahead of an official move to the North London side this summer transfer window. Both Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly reached a formal agreement on the transfer, with the total package exceeding £50 million, including various performance-based add-ons. The deal marks another high-profile transfer in the Premier League and underlines Arsenal’s ambition to strengthen their squad depth before the 2025/2026 campaign. According to multiple reliable sources, including highly respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Madueke has already consented to personal terms with Arsenal. The player is set to commit to a five-year contract, reflecting his long-term commitment to Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates Stadium. Romano disclosed the update late Thursday via his official account on platform X (formerly Twitter). He wrote: “EXCLUSIVE: Noni Madueke to Arsenal, here we go! Fee agreed in excess of £50m with add-ons included, green light from Chelsea. Madueke already agreed a five year deal at Arsenal days ago and he’s now set to complete the move.” Despite widespread resistance from some segments of the Arsenal fanbase online—many of whom took to social media to question the logic behind signing another winger—the club’s management remains unwavering in their pursuit of the 22-year-old England international. Madueke, known for his technical ability, pace, and creativity on the flanks, is expected to provide much-needed support and squad competition for Bukayo Saka, especially on the left-hand side of the pitch. Nonetheless, his versatility allows him to operate effectively on the right wing as well, giving Arteta tactical flexibility. This development represents a significant change in Madueke’s trajectory, especially after only recently settling into Chelsea’s setup. Yet, it seems the opportunity to join Arsenal’s dynamic attacking project proved too attractive to resist. His medicals are expected to take place imminently, after which Arsenal will proceed to officially announce the signing, subject to the successful completion of final paperwork and formalities.

Kenyan Men Don’t Approach Me – Victoria Kimani Reveals

Popular Kenyan music star, Victoria Kimani, has openly stated that she has never been approached by men from her own country for a romantic relationship. The renowned singer, once signed to Nigeria’s prestigious music label Chocolate City, shared that the only men who have shown romantic interest in her while in Kenya are non-Kenyans or foreigners. In her words, she believes this could be due to a lack of confidence among Kenyan men or the fear that she might turn them down because of her celebrity status. During a recent episode of the Box Podcast, Victoria Kimani said: “I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me, unless they are not from here.” She went on to suggest that it’s either her fellow Kenyans do not know how to make the move, or they simply assume that she is unapproachable due to her fame. “It’s like a lack of confidence or they just assume that I’m going to turn them down or they just don’t know how [to approach me]. It’s like they lack game.” Kimani, who has built a strong reputation for herself across Africa’s entertainment industry, emphasized that confidence, good hygiene, and effective communication are key for men trying to win a woman’s heart. According to her, the way some men initiate conversations with women often comes off as disrespectful or inappropriate. She pointed out that the use of improper language and poor communication skills often leads to women rejecting such advances. Over the years, Victoria Kimani has remained private about her personal and romantic life, although there have been unconfirmed speculations linking her romantically to notable music stars like Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani and Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz. She has, however, never publicly confirmed any of those rumors. Her comments have sparked a conversation on social media, with fans debating whether Kenyan men indeed lack confidence or if Victoria Kimani’s status simply makes her less approachable to the average man.
