Transfer News: Chelsea Agree Deal with Villarreal for Renato Veiga, Reject RB Leipzig Loan Bid for Nkunku

Chelsea Football Club have officially reached a transfer agreement with Villarreal for the move of versatile defender Renato Veiga. According to trusted football journalist Fabrizio Romano (external source), the Portuguese player will join Villarreal in a deal worth €25 million fixed fee, with an additional €4.5 million in performance-related add-ons. The agreement also includes a sell-on clause, ensuring Chelsea benefit from any potential future sale. Veiga is scheduled to complete his medical examinations with Villarreal on Thursday before officially being unveiled by the Spanish side. It will be recalled that Veiga only joined Chelsea last summer from FC Basel, penning a seven-year contract with the London side. Despite this, Chelsea have opted to sanction his move as part of their ongoing squad rebuild under new management. Meanwhile, Chelsea have rejected a loan offer from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig for forward Christopher Nkunku. The French international, who arrived at Stamford Bridge with high expectations, has faced a challenging period due to injuries and competition for attacking spots. Chelsea’s hierarchy, however, remain firm that they are not willing to allow Nkunku to leave on loan. Instead, the club is prioritizing a permanent transfer deal should the player depart, especially after the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, who are expected to strengthen Chelsea’s attacking options. As the summer transfer window edges closer to its September deadline, it remains to be seen whether another club will table a fresh permanent offer for Nkunku. Chelsea fans and football analysts alike will be watching closely to see how these transfer moves impact the Blues’ squad depth for the upcoming season.

Alan Shearer Advises Alexander Isak to Sack Agent Amid Newcastle-Liverpool Transfer Chaos

Newcastle icon Alan Shearer has urged striker Alexander Isak to part ways with his agent immediately, branding the current transfer negotiation as “an absolute mess.” Shearer pointed the blame squarely at the agent, accusing him of mishandling the situation and delivering poor counsel. Following Liverpool’s initial £110 million offer for the Sweden international being declined by Newcastle, Isak and his agent have escalated their stance, seemingly intent on securing a move. In response, Isak publicly accused Newcastle of “breaking promises” and eroding his trust. The club promptly issued a rebuttal, dismissing these claims and reaffirming that no such assurances were given. In a candid Betfair interview, Shearer remarked: “What a f*ing mess** his agent has made of this, honestly. If I were Isak, I’d get his agent into a room and sack him on the spot, because he was supposed to have advised him when he signed that six-year deal—with no exit clause. It’s ridiculous.” He added that accepting verbal promises in football is “nonsensical,” emphasizing that everything should be contractually clear. Shearer also condemned the public nature of the situation, noting that Isak’s statement has only “poured flames onto the fire” and benefits neither party. He acknowledged the potential appeal of joining a successful club like Liverpool, but questioned who made which promises—and when—since Newcastle staunchly denies making any guarantees. The Newcastle legend further warned that if Isak remains at the club beyond the transfer window without resolution, reconciliation would be extremely difficult. However, he did leave a small door open: an apology and reintegration could still offer a path back before time runs out.

Imo Governor Uzodimma Warns: Successor May Not Be Religious—Calls for Transparent, Democratic Selection

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State cautioned that his successor may lack the same religious devotion and fear of God that define his leadership. He shared this while hosting a team of leaders from the Owerri Zone at the Government House in Owerri on Wednesday. Uzodimma emphasized that the process of selecting his successor must remain transparent and rooted in democratic principles. Although he introduced the Imo Charter of Equity to ensure fairness among the state’s three zones, he clarified that it serves as a guiding framework—not an automatic nomination. He stated:“The Charter of Equity isn’t a slogan for creating disorder. It’s meant to highlight existing imbalances and guide how to correct them. But it has to complement, not replace, the democratic process. We need to act now to resolve this. Otherwise, the person who succeeds me might not share my religious convictions or God-fearing values.”

Using YouTube to Make Money Without Ads: Nigerian Strategies That Truly Work

For years, Nigerians have been told the only way to make money on YouTube is through Google AdSense. But here’s the honest truth: waiting for YouTube ads alone is one of the slowest and most frustrating ways to earn on the platform—especially when you’re just starting out. The good news? You don’t need AdSense to build a profitable YouTube channel in Nigeria. In fact, some of the fastest-growing creators are making money through other strategies that give them full control over their income. In this post, I’ll walk you through proven Nigerian-friendly ways to earn on YouTube without relying on ads, step by step. If you stay with me till the end, you’ll see why creators who apply these methods rarely ever worry about YouTube’s fluctuating ad rates. Why Skip Ads in the First Place? Before we dive into the strategies, let’s be real about the challenges Nigerian creators face with AdSense: That’s why the smartest creators treat AdSense as a bonus, not the main meal. The real income comes from other streams. 1. Affiliate Marketing: Get Paid for Recommending Products This is hands-down one of the easiest ways to start. If you already talk about tools, gadgets, apps, or services in your videos, why not earn a commission every time someone buys through your link? For Nigerian creators, these affiliate programs are very friendly: ? Pro Tip: Always add affiliate links in your description and pin them in your comments. Better still, create a “Recommended Tools & Resources” page on your blog and direct viewers there. 2. Sell Digital Products Nigerians Actually Need Here’s where things get really exciting. Nigerians are constantly searching for ready-to-use solutions—templates, guides, and shortcuts that save time. If your videos teach a skill or solve a problem, package that knowledge into a digital product. Examples: The beauty? You create it once and sell it over and over again. Payments are easy with platforms like Paystack or Flutterwave Store, which work perfectly for Nigerians. 3. Sponsorships and Brand Deals This is where real money starts rolling in. Even if you have a small but loyal audience, brands in Nigeria are willing to pay you to talk about their products. Imagine you run a tech channel—a gadget store might pay you to showcase their latest phones. Or maybe you create study abroad content—an educational consultancy could sponsor your videos. ? Honesty Tip: Always disclose sponsored content. YouTube itself requires this, and it also builds trust with your audience. Here’s YouTube’s official disclosure guide. 4. Memberships, Consulting & Coaching If people trust your content enough to watch you every week, many will gladly pay for closer access. This could be: You don’t need a massive audience—just a loyal one. Even 50 people paying you ₦5,000 a month means ₦250,000 steady income outside AdSense. 5. Mix Shorts with Long-Form for Conversions Here’s the game-changer: use YouTube Shorts to attract new people, then guide them to your long-form videos where you can promote your affiliate links or products. Shorts = Attention grabbersLong videos = Trust builders + Sales drivers A Sample Nigerian YouTube Money Flow Let’s make this practical: Now, every new viewer who finds your Short may eventually land on your tutorial—and some will buy your calculator. That’s income you control. Final Thoughts The future of YouTube in Nigeria isn’t tied to AdSense. It’s tied to creators who know how to build trust and offer value beyond free videos. If you’re serious about this, start with one method—affiliate marketing, digital products, or services—then scale up. With time, you’ll realize you don’t need to chase AdSense to turn your YouTube hustle into a real business. The truth is: your creativity, not YouTube’s ads, is your biggest asset.

Rhapsody of Realities August 20th 2025, NOTHING CAN STOP US

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him (Acts 28:30-31). There are those who have set themselves against the Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These are people with the antichrist spirit. They strategize to silence God’s truth and hinder those who boldly proclaim it. But we can’t be quiet. Necessity is laid upon us to preach the Gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16). The Gospel is too precious, and the joy too overwhelming, to keep to ourselves. It makes no difference the rage of the enemy; no amount of obnoxious laws, threats, systems or evil structures can deter us or suppress the truth. They lack the power to stop the advancement of God’s Kingdom. It brings to mind the words of the psalmist: “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision” (Psalm 2:1-4). Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper….” The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The Church is marching on, and there’s no force on earth or from hell that can prevail against it. As long as we keep the fight on, on our knees, we’re unstoppable. That’s our strategy, our strength and our advantage. When opposition arises, we don’t worry or give in to fear. Through prayer, we receive divine wisdom, insight, and solutions. We’re strengthened with might by God’s Spirit in our inner being. In these last days, preach the Gospel without holding back. Remember, this year, we’re completing the full preaching of the Gospel to all nations. We’re doing it with confidence, in the demonstration of the Spirit and power, nothing, and no man forbidding us. PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the privilege, opportunities, grace and power to preach the Gospel undeterred, with boldness and faith, in the demonstration of the Spirit and power. Your Word prevails in the nations of the earth and righteousness rains upon all their inhabitants. Your children are full of joy as they preach the Gospel around the world today, for the salvation of many, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY‭‭Isaiah 54:17 AMPCBut no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord. ‭‭Acts 26:14 KJVAnd when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks. ‭‭Acts 2:44-47 KJVAnd all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. DAILY SCRIPTURE READING1-Year Bible Reading Plan1 Corinthians 5 & Psalms 117-118 2-Year Bible Reading PlanLuke 17:31-37 & 1 Samuel 5-6 DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I am a king and my words are potent: full of power and authority; therefore I live a life of victory, success, divine health, abundance, excellence, and glory. I am not a victim but a victor. God’s Word is producing what it talks about in my life. I am strengthened with divine enablement in my inner man by the Holy Ghost. I function today with the Spirit of might, dominion, and excellence. The Word of God has mastery over my spirit, soul, and body, and I enjoy divine health, success, and the good life. I belong in God’s superior class of divine beings; therefore, I look beyond the natural realm of existence to my heavenly rights, blessings, and provisions in Christ Jesus! I do not worry about my health, finances, or anything else because the Lord has perfected all that concerns me. My body cannot be ravaged by sickness, disease, or infirmity because it is God’s sanctuary. I refuse to be sick. I glorify God in my body, and by the Spirit, it functions perfectly all the time because it is the Lord’s. The Spirit of life is working in me. There is no sickness or death in any area of my life or body. I’m daily vitalized by the Holy Spirit who resides in me. Life and immortality have been brought to light in my spirit through the living Word. I enjoy good health, peace, prosperity, and all-round success as I walk in the full blessings that Jesus Christ wrought for me, which I received when I obtained salvation. God’s Word is established in my life and it is evident for the world to see. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all principality and power, far above the devil and his minions, and far above sickness and disease. I live the glorious life of God who is above all and cannot be brought down by anything. I vehemently refuse anything that’s inconsistent with God’s desire

EPL: Ian Wright Urges Arsenal to Secure William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes for Life

Former Arsenal legend Ian Wright has strongly advised the club to ensure that two of their most valuable defenders, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, remain at the Emirates Stadium for the entirety of their careers. The Arsenal icon made this passionate appeal following the Gunners’ narrow but crucial 1-0 Premier League victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. In that tense encounter, a well-taken first-half strike from Riccardo Calafiori proved decisive, securing all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side in front of United’s frustrated home supporters. Ian Wright’s Praise for Arsenal’s Defensive Pair Speaking on the Arsecast podcast, Wright highlighted that the solid defensive partnership between Saliba and Gabriel was the real foundation of Arsenal’s victory. According to him, their composure, strength, and reading of the game echo the defensive resilience Arsenal was once famous for. “These two [William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes] get into my team because they have everything, everything we had back then,” Wright said passionately. He went further to state that Arsenal’s traditional reputation for tough, disciplined defending—often summed up by the famous chant ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’—has now returned because of the duo’s dominance at the back. Why Wright Wants Arsenal to Keep Them Forever Wright was clear about the value these defenders bring: “That is why you can go to Old Trafford, play like we did, and win – because of what those guys are doing at the back. And for me, I would pay them anything for them to stay for the rest of their careers here because they’re two of the best defenders we’ve ever had at our club.” The Arsenal legend believes that keeping Saliba and Gabriel tied down for the long term is essential if the Gunners are to consistently challenge for the Premier League title and make progress in Europe. Both players have already proven themselves indispensable to Mikel Arteta’s tactical system, and Wright’s comments emphasize that Arsenal’s future defensive stability depends on their commitment to the club.T can make mistakes.
