Former England international Paul Scholes has expressed strong confidence that Chelsea’s new summer signing, Alejandro Garnacho, will thrive at Stamford Bridge. The 21-year-old Argentine winger, who joined Chelsea from Manchester United during the recent transfer window, has already generated a wave of excitement among fans. Many are eager to see how quickly he adapts under manager Enzo Maresca, as the Blues continue to rebuild and strengthen their squad. Speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate, Scholes highlighted Chelsea’s progress and the importance of Garnacho’s role in the team. According to him: “Chelsea are almost the best of the rest under the top three sides, and they needed investment in the right areas. I believe Garnacho will be a great addition to the squad,” Scholes stated. The Manchester United legend went on to reassure supporters that Garnacho’s arrival would not disrupt Maresca’s plans. Instead, he believes the young winger has the potential to flourish in a competitive and ambitious Chelsea setup. Scholes added: “I don’t think he’ll be disruptive in Maresca’s squad. I hope he fits in seamlessly, and I strongly believe he will.” Garnacho, widely regarded for his pace, dribbling skills, and creativity on the wings, is tipped to make his Chelsea debut later this month when the Blues face Brentford. The match will mark an important step in the Argentine’s Premier League journey with his new club. Chelsea supporters are hopeful that Garnacho will inject the kind of energy and attacking flair the team has been seeking, especially as they look to challenge the dominance of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. With Scholes’ backing and growing anticipation, the spotlight will be firmly on Garnacho to prove himself worthy of the investment and expectations surrounding his move.

Farouk Adamu Aliyu, a prominent leader within Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared with confidence that nothing can hinder President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. Aliyu made this bold assertion on Tuesday during an interview session on Politics Today, a current affairs programme aired on Channels Television. While addressing political matters ahead of the next general election, he emphasized that the opposition’s strategies will not pose any real threat to President Tinubu’s ambition for a second term. According to Aliyu, there are boundaries that leaders in power must observe. He acknowledged that certain responsibilities of governance are often misunderstood by the public. The APC chieftain further admitted that past administrations, such as that of former President Goodluck Jonathan, were wrongly accused of some issues which were beyond their immediate control. In his words: “When you occupy the seat of the president, there are specific things you cannot afford to do. Every challenge in this country tends to be blamed on the president. Let me accept that during Jonathan’s era, there were some accusations that were not entirely justified. Being in such a sensitive office requires patience and careful decision-making. But I want to make it very clear that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to power in 2027, and nothing will stop him.” This strong statement from Aliyu reflects the confidence within the APC regarding Tinubu’s ability to consolidate power despite criticisms and challenges. The declaration also underscores the belief that Tinubu’s political machinery remains robust enough to withstand opposition parties as Nigeria approaches another critical electoral season.
The 2023 Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has insisted that former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, must be thoroughly questioned regarding his controversial statement that the Federal Government has been paying bandits. Baba-Ahmed expressed his concerns on Tuesday during an interview on Politics Today, a political programme aired on Channels Television. He strongly criticized the dismissal of El-Rufai’s claims by the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), led by Nuhu Ribadu, describing the rebuttal as weak and unconvincing. According to him, if the NSA’s office could treat such a serious statement with levity, then it raises doubt about Ribadu’s credibility. “If the so-called office of the National Security Adviser would take this allegation lightly, then Nuhu Ribadu was never a policeman; he is not a qualified lawyer; and he should not even be occupying that office,” Baba-Ahmed stated firmly. He further stressed that El-Rufai ought to be questioned by law enforcement agencies, saying that the former governor should already be submitting written statements to both the police and the courts. LMSINT MEDIA recalls that El-Rufai had previously alleged that the Federal Government in collaboration with Kaduna State authorities was paying monthly allowances to bandits. He further claimed that food supplies were also being delivered to these criminal groups under the guise of non-kinetic approaches to insecurity. El-Rufai described this move as nothing but a “kiss-the-bandits” policy, sparking outrage among Nigerians who have continued to demand accountability and transparency on the issue. The controversy has reignited debates on the Nigerian government’s counter-terrorism strategies, with many questioning whether non-kinetic measures are being mismanaged or misrepresented.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), reversing the recent management shake-up at the state-owned broadcaster. The directive was made public on Tuesday in a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. According to Onanuga, Mr. Dembos, who had briefly stepped aside due to leadership changes at the agency, was originally appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023. With this new directive, he will now resume office and complete his full three-year tenure as NTA’s Director-General. In addition, Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, who was appointed as Executive Director of News in 2024, has also been recalled. He is expected to continue in his role until the conclusion of his tenure in 2027. Onanuga further clarified that the President’s directive automatically cancels earlier appointments, including those of the new Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises. This decision is seen as part of President Tinubu’s effort to stabilize leadership within major government-owned media institutions, ensuring continuity in line with previous appointments.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD …And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed (Acts 3:25). When God called and blessed Abraham, the blessing was for the entire generations of mankind. The Lord declared, “…in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.” As referenced in our previous study, that seed is Christ, and all who are in Christ are partakers of that blessing. Peter, speaking by the Spirit, told the Jews, “Ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant…” (Acts 3:25). He was calling attention to their divine heritage, one that included being heirs of God’s covenant with Abraham. Through Christ, this covenant has extended to the Gentiles—to anyone who comes to God through faith in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, this covenant isn’t just about receiving; it’s about “becoming”; God told Abraham, “I will bless you and make you a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). That means we’ve become vessels of blessing. You’re a blessing to your family, city, nation, and your world. You’re the bearer of God’s covenant kindness; the Hebrew word is “hesed.” “Hesed” is not ordinary kindness. It’s God’s covenant love—His favour, His goodness, His mercy—all wrapped into one. When you show kindness, forgive quickly, walk in love, and bless others with your words and actions, you’re walking in “hesed.” You’re revealing the nature of the Father. You’re a carrier of covenant grace. When you arrive, God arrives. His blessing flows through you to turn lives around, lift others, and glorify His Name. The blessing of Abraham was a covenant of all-round prosperity, fruitfulness, dominion and divine favour. That same blessing is at work in your life today. It lifts, multiplies and establishes you in victory. Glory to God! CONFESSIONI am the seed of Abraham and a carrier of God’s covenant kindness. I am blessed and I am a blessing. The grace and goodness of God flow through me to lift others, change atmospheres, and bring glory to God. I live to reveal His lovingkindness everywhere I go, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDYGenesis 22:15-18 KJVAnd the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son]: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Galatians 3:16 KJVNow to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:29 KJVAnd if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. 1 Peter 3:9 KJVNot rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. DAILY SCRIPTURE READING1-Year Bible Reading Plan1 Corinthians 16:1-24 & Proverbs 10-11 2-Year Bible Reading PlanLuke 20:19-26 & 1 Samuel 21 DAILY AFFIRMATIONS: I rejoice because the Lord Jesus has overcome this world for me. I have been made more than a conqueror in this life. I live in the victory Christ secured for me; therefore, I am not afraid of sickness, for I reign in life through Christ Jesus. There is no death in my path! In my path are life, health, blessings, peace, and prosperity. Christ is my wisdom, and the Word of God instructs me daily through the Holy Spirit. I am filled with the fullness of God, abounding in power, glory, might, and grace! The totality of divinity is fully present in my spirit and uniquely expressed through me. I reveal the perfections of Christ every day in sound health and with a life free from sickness. I am seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named—not only in this world but also in that which is to come. I am exalted with Him in splendour; I know who I am: chosen, royal, and peculiar! I experience the supernatural in my body every day by the power of God’s Spirit. I am a carrier of divinity. The fulness of the Godhead dwells in me bodily. I live life abundantly. Each day is radiant with God’s glory, beauty, excellence, and grace. I have been conditioned to live a life of honour and majesty. I possess all I need to excel and to live in perpetual health, righteousness, godliness, and dominion here on earth. That gladness produces laughter deep within my spirit, causing my health to flourish. Nothing can weigh me down. I know no depression or oppression because I am upheld by joy unspeakable overflowing in my heart. I walk in divine health, heavenly wisdom, and in the peace of the Spirit today. I walk in the light of my inheritance in Christ—in power and in grace—living in wholeness and supernatural prosperity. I am victorious. I am a success. I am a blessing to my world. My life is excellent and radiant with glory. I manifest the dominion of Christ today. I flourish continually, walking in ever-increasing splendour all my days, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Speak in tongues.

Chelsea and Arsenal officially announced key transfer deadline day moves involving two of their players, Ben Chilwell and Reiss Nelson. Chelsea Confirm Chilwell Exit Chelsea, in a statement published on their official website on Monday, confirmed that Ben Chilwell has left the club to join RC Strasbourg on a permanent deal. The England international originally joined Chelsea from Leicester City during the summer of 2020. Since then, the left-back became a reliable figure in the squad, scoring on his Premier League debut and cementing his place as a regular starter for the Blues. Chilwell’s time at Stamford Bridge saw him contribute defensively and offensively, earning the admiration of both fans and pundits. His switch to Strasbourg marks a new chapter in his career as he seeks fresh opportunities abroad. Arsenal Loan Out Nelson to Brentford Meanwhile, Arsenal also made an announcement regarding Reiss Nelson, confirming that the forward has sealed a season-long loan move to Brentford. Nelson previously impressed during his loan spell at Fulham, where his creativity and sharp performances caught attention. However, his progress was cut short by injury. The 25-year-old winger has been associated with Arsenal for 17 years, rising through their academy ranks to the first team. Over that time, he has made 90 senior appearances, scoring eight goals and registering nine assists for the Gunners. Arsenal’s decision to loan him to Brentford is seen as a move to give him consistent playing time in the Premier League, with hopes that he regains full form and fitness to compete at the highest level. Both moves represent strategic decisions by Chelsea and Arsenal as they restructure their squads to remain competitive in domestic and European football
