APC Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda Assures Release of Abducted St Mary’s Students in Niger State

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has voiced strong optimism regarding the ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return of the abducted students and teachers of St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Niger State. He expressed confidence that the individuals kidnapped will soon regain their freedom and reunite with their families, who have remained anxious and hopeful since the unfortunate incident occurred.

Prof. Yilwatda gave this assurance during a compassionate visit to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, where he led a distinguished delegation of party officials. The purpose of the visit was to express solidarity with the affected families, faith communities, and the broader Niger State society that has been deeply shaken by the abduction.

During the meeting, the APC national chairman condemned the act of kidnapping and emphasized the importance of unity in confronting the insecurity affecting schools and religious institutions across the region. He reiterated the party’s commitment to supporting all ongoing rescue operations and highlighted the crucial role of collaboration between community leaders, security agencies, and government bodies.

Prof. Yilwatda also assured CAN leaders that the federal and state authorities are actively working to ensure the safe rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers. He encouraged the public to remain calm and continue praying for the swift recovery of the victims, stressing that the government is deploying every necessary mechanism to bring the ordeal to an end.

He further commended the resilience of the affected families and praised the Christian community for maintaining peace during such a challenging period. According to him, the APC values the safety of Nigerian children and educators and will continue advocating for strengthened security measures in all learning environments.
