Veteran Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has made a startling revelation about the hidden lives of some elite Nigerian women. During a candid conversation on the Outside the Box podcast, the comedian detailed how he discovered several married women—some being spouses of his friends and colleagues—engaging in romantic affairs with prominent politicians and state governors.
According to Ali Baba, his frequent visits to the homes of top political figures exposed him to shocking scenes. In one instance, he encountered the wife of a close associate at a governor’s private residence, indulging in what he described as inappropriate conduct.
“I’ve been inside many homes of Nigeria’s big men—governors and top political leaders,” he said. “And there, I saw wives of people I know. I’d greet them politely and continue watching as these powerful men flirt with them, even tapping their backsides casually.”
He recounted a particular scenario where, after witnessing such a private moment, he later met the same woman at an event. Her husband introduced her with pride, unaware of the double life she was allegedly living.
“When I met her later at an event, and her husband introduced her, I simply smiled and said, ‘Nice to see you again after all these years.’ She knew what I meant.”
The iconic comedian’s disclosure sheds light on the hidden extramarital affairs taking place among Nigeria’s elite, where power, wealth, and secrecy often intertwine. His observations reveal a disturbing pattern of elite infidelity in Nigeria, which many avoid discussing publicly.
